국문 초록

이 연구는 초등 예비교사였던 현장교사의 자문화기술지를 통해, 예비교사들이 4년이라는 시간적 경과에 따라 나타내었던 학습문화를 비판적 관점에서 기술하였다. 이를 위하여 자문화기술지 연구방법에 기초하여 질적 자료를 수집하였고, 실용적 절충주의에 근거한 포괄적 주제 분석을 통해 범주와 하위범주를 생성하였다. 초등 예비교사들의 학습문화에 대한 연구결과를 간략히 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초창기 학습문화는 호명(interpellation)의 연속과 재생산을 통하여 예비교사로서의 이데올로기를 구성하였고, ‘학문과 거리두기’ 혹은 ‘예비교사로서 가벼워지기’라는 특징을 나타내었다. 둘째, 중반기 학습문화는 예비교사들이 학문적 헤게모니(hegemony)에 대한 체득과 비판을 통해 초등교원양성교육의 대안을 모색할 수 있는 자율적인 학습문화를 드러내었다. 셋째, 예비교사들의 후반기 학습문화는 임용시험이라는 국가수준 교원평가 체제로 인하여 식민화된 학습문화를 재현하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 예비교사의 맥락에서 우리나라 초등교원양성교육의 현주소를 파악하고, 그것의 내실화와 질적 제고를 위한 연구 자료로서 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to shed qualitatively light on the learning culture of elementary pre-service teachers in a National University of Education from the insider s point of view, through a self-study of an elementary school teacher who was an elementary pre-service teacher. This study applied native ethnography to accomplish this purpose, and significant topics were derived from qualitative data collected using the pragmatic eclecticism, and final writing was performed. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the elementary pre-service teachers in the initial period represented the learning culture of lightening or detachment from learning, establishing their ideology as pre-service teachers through the continuation and reproduction of interpellation. Secondly, the elementary pre-service teachers in the middle period represented an autonomous learning culture in which they sought to find alternatives to elementary teacher preparation education amid a dual focus of acquisition and criticism of academic hegemony. Thirdly, elementary pre-service teachers in the latter period revealed the learning culture that was colonized by the evaluation system called the elementary school teacher selection test. The results of this study will contribute to the understanding of the current status of the pre-service elementary teacher education in Korea as well as the theoretical and policy basis for promoting its substantialization and qualitative enhancement.
