국문 초록

본 논문은 유학이론을 종합한 주희 성리학의 심의 구조와 불교이론을 종합한 馬鳴 󰡔대승기신론󰡕의 심의 구조를 비교 고찰한 것이다. 이를 통해 성리학에서의 심의 구조와 󰡔기신론󰡕에서의 심의 구조의 이론적 차이를 확인하고, 동시에 이들 심의 구조가 제시하는 궁극적 목적이 어디에 있는지를 밝히고자 한다. 결론부터 말하자면, 성리학의 목적이 기질에 가려진 선한 본성을 회복하여 성인이 되는데 있듯이, 󰡔기신론󰡕의 목적 역시 중생이 無明에서 벗어나 진여본체를 자각하여 여래(부처)가 되는데 있다. 다시 말하면, 성리학이 현실 속의 기질지성을 통해 본연지성을 회복하듯이, 󰡔기신론󰡕에서는 현실 속의 생멸심을 통해 진여심을 자각하는데 있다는 것이다. 결국 주희의 성리학과 마명의 󰡔기신론󰡕은 다만 설명과정에서 개념과 방법상에 다소 차이가 있을지라도 그 본질을 관통하는 사유구조는 다르지 않으며, 그 목적 역시 인간의 본래모습(본연지성과 진여심)을 제시하는데 있음을 알 수 있다. 이를 통해 성리학과 󰡔기신론󰡕의 사유구조와 그 목적의 유사성을 확인할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper is a comparative study of the mind structure of zhuxi s Neo-confucianism, which combines theory of Neo-confucianism, and mamyung s 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕, which combines theory of Buddhism. Through this process, check the theoretical differences between the mind structure in Neo-confucianism and the mind structure in 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕, at the same time, want to reveal where their ultimate purpose. To begin with, as the goal of Neo-confucianism is to recover the good nature of hidden by the kijil and become an saint, the purpose of 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕 is also to conscious of one s true self of out of the ordinary people s foolishness and become a Buddha. Namely just as Neo-confucianism is recovery of its bonyunjisung through its kijiljisung, 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕 is conscious its jinyeosim through its saengmyeolsim. After all, zhuxi s Neo-confucianism and mamyung s 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕, although there may be some differences in concept and method in the explanation process, but the thought structure that penetrates its essence is no different, and its purpose can also be to propose the human nature(bonyunjisung and jinyeosim). This will confirm the similarity between the thought structure and the purpose in Neo-confucianism and 󰡔daeseungkisinlon󰡕.
