기술·가정 교사자격증 통합표시의 문제점 및 개선방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 제 7차 교육과정의 시행과 함께 2000년부터 통합되었던 기술·가정 교사자격 표시과목의 문제점을 밝히고, 개선방안을 제시하는데 있다. 연구결과를 통한 결론 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교원양성과정에서 연계전공을 통한 `기술·가정` 자격증의 발급은 주로 `가정교육과`에서 실시하고 있었다. 그러나 `기술교육과`가 설치되어 있지 않은 대학에서는 공과대학에 개설된 과목에 연계하여 기술영역의 14학점만을 이수하여 자격증을 취득하도록 하고 있었다. 둘째, 외국의 교사자격증 제도를 살펴본 결과 중등교원 자격증 표시 과목 `기술·가정`은 세계 어느 나라에서도 그 유례를 찾아 볼 수 없었으며 `기술·가정`교과를 40여년 전부터 설정하여 운영하고 있는 일본에서도 기술은 기술자격증 소지교사가 가정은 가정자격증 소지 교사가 가르치고 있었다. 셋째, `기술·가정` 통합표시과목 자격에 관한 설문조사에서도 대부분의 교사와 교수들이 `기술·가정`통합표시과목 자격 취득을 위한 부전공 및 연계전공이 필요하지 않다고 생각하고 있었다. 따라서, 실험, 실습을 강조하는 생활교과인 기술교과와 가정교과의 전문성을 높이기 위해 `기술·가정` 통합표시과목 자격증 제도는 철폐되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to clarify the problems aroused from technology·home economics, the two integrated subjects which has been integrated even since the execution of the 7th national curriculum in 2000, indication of secondary school teachers certificate, and suggest the possible solutions. Conclusion and suggestions through research results are as follows. First, in the process of raising teachers, issuing the technology·home economics certificate through inter-disciplinary program mainly takes place in department of home economics education in university. However, some of such universities without department of technology education executed inter-disciplinary program with courses in college of technology, allowing acquiring certificate only with 14 credits of technology. Second, while examining the teacher certificate system in foreign countries, it has been noted that subject that indicates secondary school teacher`s certificate, in this case technology and home economics, is found only in Korea. Even Japan, which has been running technology and homeeconomics for 40years, technology was taught by teachers with technology-certificate, and homeeconomics by teachers with homeeconomics-certificate. Thirdly, even in survey on qualification of technology·home economics indication of secondary school teachers certificate, most of the teachers and professors claimed that there is no need to obtain indication of secondary school teachers certificate via second major nor inter-disciplinary program. Thus, in order to promote the expert skills of technology and home economics, life subject which underscores hands on experiments, technology and home economics indication of secondary school teachers certificate system should be abolished.
