중등학교 기술,가정(가정분야) 교과서의 직업기초능력 관련 내용 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 대부분의 직업에서 공통적으로 요구되는 `직업기초능력`의 중요성을 바탕으로 현행 제7차 교육과정의 기술·가정 교과서에서 가정분야 내용 내 직업기초능력의 반영 정도를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 주요 연구 방법은 내용 분석법을 사용하였으며 직업기초능력으로는 기술능력, 대인관계능력, 문제해결능력, 수리능력, 의사소통능력, 자기관리 및 개발능력, 자원활용능력, 정보능력 8가지의 영역과 35가지의 하위요소를 분석 기준으로 정하였다. 그리고 가정 영역은 인간 발달과 가족 관계, 소비 생활과 자원 관리, 식생활, 의생활, 주생활 영역의 5가지로 정하였다. 제7차 교육과정에 의해 개발된 중학교 7, 8, 9학년과 고등학교 10학년의 기술·가정 교과서 중 가정분야 내에 해당하는 내용만을 분석하였다. 이 연구에서는 학년에 따른 출판사별 직업기초능력 반영 정도를 문장과 사진/삽화로 구분하여 분석하였으며, 이에 대한 결론은 다음과 같다. 각 학년별 교과서에는 출판사에 관계없이 구성 단원의 내용 특성에 적합한 직업기초능력을 반영하는 것이 바람직하나 동일 단원에 대해서도 출판사마다 직업기초능력을 다룬 분량, 문장, 사진/삽화의 빈도가 달랐다. 그리고 4개 학년 모두에서 다루어진 직업기초능력 영역은 기술능력, 수리능력, 자기관리 및 개발능력이고, 제7차 교육과정에서 강조된 내용일지라도 문제해결능력, 의사소통능력, 정보능력의 경우에는 교과서에서의 반영이 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 제언하면 교과서 출판사별로 가정분야 내 직업기초능력에 대한 반영 정도가 다른 것으로 나타났으므로 현장 교사들은 교수·학습 활동 설계 시에 다른 출판사의 교과서도 다양하게 참고하여 직업기초능력에 관련한 학습경험을 제공할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 그리고 가정과 교사들은 현재 교과서에 제시된 직업기초능력에 대한 체계적인 학습 경험을 가지지 못하였으므로 가정과 교사 양성 기관 및 교사 연수 기관의 정규 프로그램에 직업기초능력과 관련된 내용을 포함시켜야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine to what extent the current technology·home economics textbooks of the 7th national curricula offered education about the key competencies needed for the workforce in the section of home economics, as the importance of the key competencies was increasingly stressed. A content analysis was carried out in this study, and eight different sorts of key competencies needed for the workforce that included 35 subfactors were selected as the criteria of analysis: technique, inter-personal skills, problem-solving skills, mathematical ability, communicative competency, self-management/development, resources utilization and information literacy. And the home economics section was classified into five categories: human development/family relations, consumer life/resources management, dietary life, clothing and housing. After analysis sheets were prepared according to above-mentioned classification, 12 textbooks of the 7th national curricula for middle school 7th, 8th and 9th grades and high school 10th grade that were in wise use and published by different publishing companies were selected. Three textbooks each catered to the same grade, and the home economics section of the selected textbooks was analyzed. Every textbook should deal with the key competencies required for each unit, regardless of grade. But the amount of education and the frequency of sentences, photos and illustrations related to the key competencies were different even in the same units according to the publishing companies. Technique, mathematical ability, self-management/ development were handled in all the four grades, and the weight of problem-solving skills, communicative competency and information literacy wasn`t adequate, though the 7th national curricula placed emphasis on those skills. It seemed because the authors of the textbooks weren`t well aware of the curricula in terms of the key competencies nor fully considered how to teach the key competencies.
