국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 현상학-해석학적 연구를 통해 자기 내러티브의 왜곡실태를 분석하는 것 이다. 모든 인간은 경험된 나와 서술된 나로 실재한다. 경험된 나는 철저히 주관적인 반면, 서술된 나는 다양한 이유에 의하여 왜곡될 개연성이 높다. 교육과 관련지어 생각할 때 이러 한 왜곡현상의 가장 큰 원인은 평가시스템의 작동이다. 현행 우리나라 대학입시제도에서 자 기내러티브는 중요한 전형요소 중의 하나다. 즉, 대입전형자료로 자기소개서와 교사추천서 가 활용되고 있다. 경쟁을 전제로 하는 평가나 선발이 이루어지는 시스템, 즉, 우선권과 특혜 를 얻기 위한 치열한 상황에서 누구든 자기내러티브를 과장, 왜곡, 작위의 유혹이 생기기 마 련이다. 본 연구는 이러한 특성으로 인해 대학입학 전형자료로 활용되는 자기내러티브가 철 저히 왜곡되고 오용되고 있음을 전제로 한다. 평가시스템에서 자기내러티브는 화자/필자와 독자/청자 사이의 심리적 대결이 이루어진다. 교육부나 대학이라는 공적 시스템은 공정하고 정의로운 평가와 선발이 이루어지도록 나름대로의 안전장치를 작동한다고 하지만 정작 대중 은 이러한 조치에 전폭적인 신뢰를 보내지 않는다. 평가시스템 속에서 기능하는 내러티브 아 날로지와 아이덴티티 문제는 근본적으로 ‘신뢰’라는 가치문제로 귀결된다. 화자/필자의 진정 성에 대한 독자/청자의 공감이 올바르게 작동하지 않는 한 자기내러티브 왜곡을 정상화시킬 방안은 없다. 급기야 교육부에서는 향후 자기내러티브를 대학입학 전형자료에서 배제할 것 을 공표하였다. 내러티브 연구담론에서 자기내러티브는 인간에 대한 올바른 이해를 위하여 가장 필요한 오브제임에도 불구하고 공정과 정의, 신뢰에 대한 사회적 함의를 우선한다는 취 지에서 이루어진 조치로 해석된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 여전히 자기내러티브의 유용성에 대 한 여지는 충분히 남아 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 이러한 여지의 복원과 자기내 러티브의 교육학적 유용성에 대한 진지한 성찰이 이루어지길 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the distortions of narratives by the phenomenological method. A human being exists not only experienced one but also a self-narrative. The former is subjective, on the other hand, the latter has high possibilities of distortion by various causes. As we think, the main causation of distortion is the actuation of the evaluation system. In the current college admission types, an applicant’s self-narrative is an important factor for entrance processes. Namely, the self-narrative and the teacher’s recommendation are important materials as college entrance sources. Anyone who is included in the fierce evaluation system may be enticed by distortion or overstatement on a self-narrative for priority and favor. In this study, the above discussion that mostly a self-narrative used as an important source for college entrance may be distorted is required. There are psychological confrontations between speaker/writer and reader/listener in the evaluation system. Ministry of Education and the university assert public system in which admission processes are accomplished by fairness and justice, but many people do not trust those contentions. The problem of narrative analogy and narrative identity in the evaluation system is a value concept being basically connected to trust. A faith-based sympathy between speaker/writer and reader/ listener makes it normalize the distortion of self-narrative. Recently, Ministry of Education has announced the exclusion of a self-narrative as a material for college entrance. Even though a self-narrative is an important object for researching understanding of human beings in the narrative discourse, the public sector provokes social consensus in which fairness, justice, and trust are prior to any other values. Nevertheless, there is some space for the academic utility of a narrative. The recovery of that space and serious reflection on the educational utility about a self-narrative is composed of this research.
