보육교사들이 이야기하는 어린이집 평가의 어려움: 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 어린이집 평가를 주제로 수행된 질적 연구의 메타분석을 통해 보육교사들이 경험한 어린이집 평가의 어려움을 종합적으로 고찰하고, 이를 통해 어린이집 평가의무제 시행 관련 함의를 얻는데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법: 2007년부터 2019년까지 발표된 학술지 연구 중 어린이집 평가를 경험한 교사의 목소리를 질적 연구한 18편을 선정하여, Noblit와 Hare(1988)가 제안한 단계에 따라 질적 메타분석을 실시하여 어린이집 평가의 어려움을 종합, 개념화, 범주화 하는 작업을 시행하였다. 연구결과: 어린이집 평가에서 교사들이 경험하는 어려움은 ‘평가지표에 대한 이해 부족’, ‘평가 업무의 부담’, ‘평가의 본질에 대한 회의’의 3가지 범주 하에 ‘평가지표 교육의 부족’을 포함하여 6개의 중심개념이 생성되었다. 논의 및 결론: 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 어린이집 평가의무제 시행과 관련하여 평가지표의 개선, 평가업무의 축소, 평가의 본질 추구를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The research was to understand the experiences of the teachers in the childcare program evaluation through qualitative meta-analysis and to re-conceive the new mandatory evaluation system. Method: The researchers conducted a qualitative meta-synthesis according to the steps proposed by Noblit and Hare (1988). The subjects were eighteen qualitative research articles published in 11 journals, in which participants were childcare teachers who experienced the childcare program evaluation. The meanings of childcare program evaluation in the articles were synthesized, conceptualized, and categorized. Results: As a result of qualitative meta-analysis, 3 categories of meanings - ‘the difficulties in understanding the evaluation index’, ‘the burden on evaluation work’, and ‘the skepticism of the evaluation system - and 6 core concepts including ‘insufficient education opportunities for understanding the index’. Conclusion: The research proposed improvement of evaluation index, reduction of evaluation task, and pursuit of the essence of evaluation in relation to the implementation of the mandatory evaluation system.
