미술영재교육의 쟁점과 개선 방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술영재교육의 쟁점을 파악하고 개선 방향을 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 쟁점 도출을 위해서 기존 미술영재교육 에 대한 이론적 배경 검토, 미술영재교육 실태 파악 등을 통해 시사점을 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 미술영재교육 전문가 집단 을 구성하여 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 전문가 집단은 미술영재교육을 5년 이상 담당한 교사 2인, 미술영재교육 연구 경험이 있는 전문가 2인, 영재교육 전문가 1인으로 구성하였고, 인터뷰 분석 결과를 검토하기 위해서 전문가 협의회를 실행하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 쟁점 및 개선 방안을 도출하였다. 그 결과, 1) 미술영재성에 대한 명확하고 구체적인 논의 및 합의, 2) 미술영재교육의 정당화 및 시기에 대한 합의, 3) 미술영재선발의 표준화와 현장성 간의 균형, 4) 미술영재교육의 특수성 에 대한 이해와 공감, 5) 소외계층 미술영재 선발 및 교육 방안 재고, 6) 미술영재 담당 교사 전문성 제고 및 처우 개선과 같은 6가지 쟁점과 개선 방안이 도출되었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the issues in education for the artistically gifted students and draw directions for improvement. For this, I reviewed theoretical backgrounds, researched the field of education for the artistically gifted students and interviewed the expert group. The expert group consisted of two elementary school teachers who have been in charge of the gifted education more than for five years, two school teacher, two experts who have research experience in the gifted education in art, and one gifted education expert. As a result, 1) a clear and specific discussion and consensus on artistically giftedness, 2) agreement on the justification and timing of gifted education in art, 3) the balance between the standardization of selection methods and reflection of site needs, 4) understanding of the specificity of the gifted education in art, 5) the selection and education of disadvantaged and gifted students in art, and 6) the improvement of professionalism and treatment of art gifted teachers were identified as issues and challenges for the gifted education in art.
