사례관리 Best Practice의 개념과 구성요소: 사례관리자 관점을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사례관리 Best Practice란 무엇이며, 어떻게 가능한가에 관한 질문에 대한 답을 현장 사례관리자들로부터 얻는 것이다. 이를 위해 K기관에서 실시한『사례관리실천 우수사례 공모』에서 선정된 우수사례를 직접 진행한 사례관리자 8명을 대상으로 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하여 Best Practice의 개념과 이를 구성하는 요인들을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 사례관리 Best Practice란 ‘클라이언트의 궁극적인 변화를 위해서 클라이언트와 함께 하면서 최선을 다하는 과정’으로 정의되었으며, 핵심가치는 ‘존중’, 실천원칙은 ‘클라이언트가 주체적으로 참여하는 사례관리’로 도출되었다. 또한 사례관리 Best Practice를 가능하게 하는 각 실천단계별 과업들과 사례관리자의 정체성, 그리고 이를 지원하는 사례관리 수행체계의 특성들이 분석되었다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구의 실천적 함의와 Best Practice의 확산에 필요한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to search the concept and components of case management best practice from the case manager’s perspective. The participants of this study were 8 case managers who were awarded for 2014 Best Practice of case management from K institute. The focus group interview was conducted 3 times for 3 hours in each in order to find out what is the concept and components of case management best practice. The results of the contents analysis were following: Firstly, the concept of the case management best practice was defined that it is the process of being together between a case manager and a client and doing one’s best for the purpose of client’s ultimate change. Secondly, The core value of best practice was suggested as ‘respect for clients’ and the principal of best practice was ‘client’s autonomous participation’. Thirdly, the essential tasks of each process in case management were drawn from the study participant’s case management experience. Lastly, the identity as a case manager and the administrative system for case management which support best practice were defined. As a conclusion, the implications of this study supporting best practice were suggested in terms of case management practice and policy.
