영문 초록

Both of the countries, Korea and Japan, have developed economically in these 30 years, and life-style, family and community structure have changed remarkably. The development and changes in the two countries have increased many juvenile adjustment problems, for instance violence, crime, school-refusal and suicide. The study aimed to clarify the psychological maladaptive tendency of junior and senior high school students in Korea (n=731) and Japan (n=500). The subjects were examined with PPC-Ⅱ (Kyoukensiki Prediction of Problem Children-Ⅱ). Students of the two countries have common problems of academic scores and relationship with their friends. Japanese students had less reliability on their teachers compared with Korean students. And also Japanese students had a difficulty to control their own emotions. The results suggested that reliable relationship between students and teachers was important to reduce the psychological stresses in schools.
