국문 초록

본 연구는 편집증의 하위 유형에 대한 Chadwick의 가설에 따라 편집증을 피해편집증과 처벌편집증으로 나누어 자기 불일치, 우울, 내면화된 수치심에서 어떤 공통점과 차이점이 있는지 살펴보았다. 대학생 및 대학원생 580명을 대상으로 설문지를 실시하였으며, 편집척도 점수를 통해 상위 20%는 편집성향 집단, 하위 10%는 통제 집단으로 선발하였다. 편집성향 집단 중 자기개념 척도 점수를 통해 전체 평균 보다 높은 집단은 피해편집성향 집단, 전체 평균 보다 낮은 집단은 처벌편집성향 집단으로 분류하였다. 연구 결과 처벌편집성향 집단이 피해편집성향 집단 보다 실제 자기와 이상적 자기 간의 자기불일치가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 처벌편집성향 집단과 피해편집성향 집단은 실제자기와 타인이 보는 자기 간 불일치가 통제집단 보다 더 높았으나, 편집증의 하위 유형 집단 간 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 또한 처벌편집성향 집단이 피해편집성향 집단 보다 우울, 내면화된 수치심이 더 높다는 점을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The study investigated the similarities and differences between persecutory paranoia and punishment paranoia groups based on the variables of self-discrepancy, depression, and internalized share. A total of 580 students completed the paranoia score questionnaire, and the top 20% were selected as a Paranoid Tendency group; those in the bottom 10% were selected as a Control group. People in the Paranoid Tendency group were higher on the score of a discrepancy between actual self and perception of others about the self than those in the control group. Members in the Paranoid Tendency group were further divided into Persecutory Paranoid Tendency versus Punishment Paranoid Tendency group based on their level of self-concept. The results indicated that those in the Paranoid Tendency group were higher on the score of self-discrepancy than those in Persecutory Paranoid Tendency group, while those in Punishment Paranoid Tendency group were higher on the score of depression and internalized shame than those in Persecutory Tendency group.
