국문 초록

본 연구는 예비부부의 관계향상을 목표로 PREPARE/ENRICH 및 긍정심리치료 집단프로그램을 구성하여 그 효과성을 검증하고 예비부부에 대한 효과적인 개입방법을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 서울에 거주하고 있고, 결혼을 준비하고 있는 예비부부를 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 실험집단, 통제집단을 각 5쌍(10명)으로 나누어 실험집단은 주 1회 90분씩 8회기에 걸쳐 PREPARE/ENRICH 및 긍정심리치료 프로그램을 통합한 집단상담 프로그램을 진행하였다. 본 연구의 효과성 검증은 양적 분석과 질적 분석으로 이루어졌다. 사전에 실험집단과 통제집단의 동질성 여부를 확인하기 위하여 비모수 통계인 Mann-Whitney U Test를 사용하였으며, 사후 프로그램의 효과성 검증은 Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test를 사용하였다. 질적 분석을 위해서는 Van Kaam의 현상학적 연구방법에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, PREPARE/ENRICH 및 긍정심리치료 집단프로그램은 예비부부의 이성관계 만족도와 커플 친밀감을 향상시키는 데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 두 프로그램의 결합을 통한 시너지 효과를 예방적 상담의 측면에서 보여주었으며, 가족생활 주기에서 1단계에 해당하는 예비부부에 대한 이해와 접근방식에 관한 시사점을 제시함으로써 그들을 위한 가족상담 기초자료 축적에 기여하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The present study aims to design and assess a group program comprising PREPARE/ENRICH and positive psychotherapy for the enhancement of relationships of premarital couples, so as to propose an effective intervention for premarital couples. Methods: The couples were divided into the intervention group and the control group (n=10 each). The intervention group underwent an 8-session group counseling program consisting of PREPARE/ENRICH and positive psychotherapy for 90 minutes per session. Results: The group PREPARE/ENRICH and positive psychotherapy program improved premarital couples’ dating relationship satisfaction. In contrast to the control group, the intervention group showed a significant change in dating relationship satisfaction after participating in the intervention. Second, the group PREPARE/ENRICH and positive psychotherapy program improved premarital couples’ couple intimacy. In contrast to the control group, the intervention group showed a significant change in couple intimacy after participating in the intervention. Third, premarital couples who participated in the group PREPARE/ENRICH and positive psychotherapy program demonstrated “personal internal changes,” “changes in the relationship,” and “some negative experiences.” Conclusions: the present study demonstrated the synergic effects of combining these two programs in terms of preventive counseling. Furthermore, this study presented implications for understanding and approaching premarital couples, who fall under stage 1 of the family life cycle, thereby mounting more fundamental data regarding family counseling for premarital couples.
