장애인고용경험이 기업체의 장애인고용에 관한 인식에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애인고용경험이 기업체의 장애인고용에 관한 인식에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 분석 대상은 2012년 사업체장애인고용실태조사에 참여한 6,286개 기업체이다. 연구방법의 경우, 전체 기업체를 장애인고용기업체, 고용경험기업체, 미고용기업체로 구분하고 기업체의 조직특성, 업무특성, 장애인고용관련 인식 수준을 분석하기 위한 기술통계분석을 시행하였으며, 장애인고용 관련 인식 수준을 비교하기 위해 χ2 검증과 분산분석을 시행하였다. 마지막으로 장애인고용경험이 장애인고용관련 인식에 미치는 영향을 이해하기 위해 총10회의 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 장애인근로자의 작업수행 능력(직무능력, 생산성, 지시수행능력, 성실성)에 관한 모든 인식에서 장애인고용기업체는 미고용기업체 비해 장애인근로자에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 장애인근로자의 조직생활(조직적응력, 의사소통능력, 협동성, 대인관계)의 경우에서도 장애인고용기업체는 미고용기업체 비해 장애인근로자를 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 마지막으로 고용효과(기업이미지변화, 회사경영의 도움)에 대해서 장애인고용기업체는 미고용기업체에 비해 더욱 긍정적인 평가를 하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 기업체가 장애인에 대해 선입견을 가지는 경향이 존재하며, 장애인 고용은 기업체의 선입견을 개선하고 나아가 기업운영에 도움이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of employment experience on the business s perception of employing the people with disabilities(PWD). The sample consists of 6,286 businesses participating in the 2012 Business Disabled Employee Status Study of the Korea Disabled Employment Public Corporation. In terms of research methods, descriptive analysis, χ2 tests, analysis of variance(ANOVA) and multiple regression were conducted to examine the effects on the business’s perception. The main results of analysis are as follows; business employing the PWD evaluated the PWD’s performance, group work, and employment effects significantly more positively than the business without the experience of employing the PWD. The business used to employing the PWD also demonstrated more positive perception than the business without the experience of the PWD in the two domains, including work performance and group work, but no employment effects. The main findings of this study support the findings of previous empirical studies which report the positive effects of employing the PWD on the business’s perception. According to the result of this study, some practical implications to improve business s perception on the PWD are suggested.
