존 듀이 미학적 관점에서 미적 경험으로서 음악 상상의 장(場)

국문 초록

John Dewey completes his Philosophy of aesthetics about art. Of course, the foundation of his aesthetics is metaphysical naturalism on the theory of evolution. Namely there are organic vitality, qualitativeness, transaction. Dewey s esthetic experience that is possible these foundations becomes art-esthetic as distinguished by organism doing and undergoing to the world. Therefore esthetic experience possessed its traits that the meeting itself between man and nature. For that reason, the organism of the live creature in nature reflect basis pattern of relations which with their environment on all of art and work of art, they offer the state of the body, intelligence, activism. Of course, esthetic experience is abundant imagination, musical imagination is that organized imports now expands their live creature, it is the conscious control between new and passed, namely, is the expression of matter that composed of esthetic experience. And it is the field that illustrates what is esthetic experience, When it wants to release from a difficult trouble conditions between organism and world, imagination is that an experience in music as amusement and activity, spontaneity and inevitability, necessary condition to self beyond oppositions of the law of liberty. Also the field of musical imagination is the evolutional basis of civil continuity as the result that makes imports of ordinary events through their life process that has mind as conscious state of organic survival, it is a real conversation between mutual organism, organism and world.

영문 초록

존 듀이는 예술에 대한 미학으로서 그의 철학을 완성하고 있다. 물론 그의 미학적 근거는 진화론에 근거한 형이상학적 자연주의에 두고 있다. 즉 유기체성, 질성, 상호교류변성 작용이 그것들이다. 이러한 바탕 위에서 가능한 듀이의 미적 경험은 유기체의 세계에 대한 행함과 겪음의 차원을 드러내는 것으로서 예술적이자 미적인 것이 되고 있다. 그러므로 미적 경험은 인간과 자연과의 만남 그 자체인 경험의 특성을 담지하고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 자연 속의 생명체로서의 유기체는 그 자신의 환경과 관련을 맺고 있는 관계의 기본적 유형이 모든 예술과 그 작품 속에 깔려 있고, 그것들은 유기체에게 신체적, 지적, 실천적 차원 모두를 제공한다. 즉 인간의 생명력을 지속하고 강화하며, 새롭게 하여 경험을 확장함으로써 자연과의 통합을 이루는 것으로 자리하고 있다. 물론 미적 경험은 풍부한 상상적인 것인데, 음악 상상력은 유기화된 의미들이 현재 유기체의 생명력을 확충시키는 것으로, 이것은 새로운 것과 지나간 것을 조정하는 의식적인 조정이 되고 있다. 즉 미적 경험을 이루고 있는 질료를 곧바로 표현하는 것이 되고 있다. 그리고 경험 그 자체가 무엇인지를 예증하는 것으로서 자리하고 있는데, 그것은 유기체가 세계와의 갈등의 힘겨운 조건들로부터 해방을 원할 때, 상상력은 유희와 활동, 자발성과 필연성, 자유의 법칙의 대립들을 뛰어 넘어 자아에 가해지는 필연적 조건들의 압박과 그리고 개성의 자발성과 참신성을 하나의 경험으로서 음악 속에 융합하는 것으로 자리하고 있다. 아울러 음악 상상의 장은 유기체적 생존의 의식적 차원으로서 마음을 지닌 유기체가 자신의 삶의 과정을 통해 일상의 사건들을 의미화 시킨 결과로서 문명을 연속화시키는 토대가 되고 있는데, 이것은 유기체 상호간의, 유기체와 세계 사이의 진정한 의사소통의 발생적 토대가 된다.
