국문 초록

박물관의 소장 유물은 과거에 제작된 원형을 간직한 실물이며 다원적 특성을 지니고 있기 때문에 당시 사람들의 삶과 문화를 추론하는 근거가 된다. 유물을 직접 보고 이루어지는 실물기반 유물 읽기 지도는 교실 수업의 한계를 극복하고 학생들에게 흥미와 호기심을 불러일으키며, 역사적 상상력을 자극할 수 있다. 전시된 유물은 그 유물이 사용되었던 환경과 동떨어지게 전시되어 있기 때문에 유물을 보고 이해하기가 쉽지 않다. 유물읽기는 유물이 갖고 있는 문화적 맥락 속에서 읽고 해석하는 것이 요구된다. 유물 읽기 지도에서 유물에 대한 발문 관점과 계획을 세울 때에도 맥락적 관점에 중점을 두어야 한다. 발문은 학생들의 사고활동을 유발시키기 위한 문제제기이며 발문의 질이 학습활동과 교육의 성과에 미치는 영향이 크기 때문이다. 교사는 학생들이 사고하고 추론하며 상상할 수 있도록 기술적으로 발문하는 것을 요구된다. 따라서 유물 읽기 지도 시 학생들의 다양한 사고 활동을 위한 발문 관점을 기호학적 측면, 미학적 측면, 역사적 측면으로 제시하였다. 또 제시된 발문의 관점을 구체적인 발문의 예를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Artifacts in museums are real objects preserving past prototypes with multi-faced characteristics. We can interpret cultures and lives from museum artifacts. This study suggests the way to learn artifacts as reading text. Learning with artifacts and hands-on experience enable students to get interested and inspired by historical imagination. It is significant for teachers to prepare and plan for questioning in the process of learning through museum artifacts. Questioning provides students with opportunities to think about the problem solving for interpretation of museum artifacts. It could lead students learning experience to active mode. Teachers need strategies of questioning for students to get engaged in thinking and reasoning through diverse learning process to solve the problem. Therefore, we need categorization for perspectives on questioning based on the theories of semiotics, aesthetics, and history. Questioning from semiotics deals with signifier and signified from the relationship between the form of objects and their purpose. Aesthetics can be ground for questioning of material, techniques, and visual elements including patterns. Historical questioning can provide contextual information of the objects including time, environments and other sociocultural aspects. The perspectives on questioning provide examples and model for reading artifacts in museums.
