국문 초록

지속가능발전 교육은 미래 세대의 주체인 학생들의 주인의식을 강화하고 사회의 변화를 반영한 유연한 행동을 촉진함과 동시에, 미래지향적 사고를 향상시켜 현 세대와 미래 세대가 조화로운 삶을 이어갈 수 있도록 하는 데에 중점을 두고 있다. 지속가능한 디자인 교육에 대한 연구가 선진국을 중심으로 활발하게 진행되고 있으나, 우리나라의 미술교육에 있어서의 지속가능한 디자인 교육은 초·중학교의 교육상황은 도입기에 가깝다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 미래의 주역인 초등학교 학생들에게 미술교육에서의 지속가능한 디자인프로그램을 통해 환경에 대한 감성적 교감을 일깨우고 미래를 위한 친환경적 개념을 고취시킬 수 있는 지속가능한 디자인 교육의 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발한 프로그램 검증을 위한 모의수업으로 초등학생 10명이 참여하였으며, 내용검증을 위하여 공무원, 디자이너, 초등학교 교사 50명의 인뎁스 인터뷰가 진행되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 초등학교 미술교육에 있어서의 지속가능디자인 프로그램에서의 감성적 교감은 학생들을 자발적으로 수업에 몰입할 수 있는 중요한 요소라는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Education for Sustainable Development(hereinafter, ESD) is putting its focus on getting the present & future generation to lead a harmonious life by intensifying the sense of ownership of students as the main agent of the future generation, and accelerating the flexible behavior reflecting social changes, and at the same time by improving their future-oriented idea. Sustainable Design education are vigorously pushed forward with advanced countries as the center, but the situation of design education in our country still stays at its introduction period. In this paper, I explored how to improve a design education curriculum about the concept of sustainability in South Korean primary schools. My research question in this paper seeks to motivate students to deal with emotional engagement for sustainability as a research framework. Ten primary school students contributed to the workshop and the finding of the trial workshop was illuminated by 50 specialists’ interviews in three different areas(the government official, designer, and primary school teacher) for critical review. Through this study emotional engagement can enhance students’voluntary motivation in sustainable design education in Korean primary school.
