학교폭력예방을 위한 뮤지컬 동아리 사업 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 교육부와 청소년폭력예방재단, KBS미디어가 전국의 초·중·고등학교를 대상으로 시행한 ‘학교폭력예방 뮤지컬 동아리 지원 사업 의 운영 실태 분석과 함께 그 효과성을 탐색하는데목적이 있다. 우리나라의 문화예술교육은 2000년대 이후 점차 학교현장에 도입되기 시작했으며, 2013년 교육부는 학교현장에 인성교육의 일환으로 문화예술교육을 강화하기 시작하였다. 학교폭력예방 뮤지컬 동아리 사업은 학생들이 공연을 전제로 한 예술교육을 목적으로 두기 보다는 뮤지컬을 제작하고 공연을 완성하는 과정에서 학교폭력예방효과를 기대하는 것으로 방향을 설정했다. 또한 각 학교에 최소한의 예산 교부와 함께 자체적으로 운영 할 수 있도록 뮤지컬 콘텐츠를 제공하는것으로 사업을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 학교폭력예방을 목적으로 진행된 뮤지컬 동아리 사업의 추진과정을 심층 고찰하였다. 뮤지컬 동아리 지도교사와 참여 학생들에 대상으로 설문조사를 사업에대한 반응을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 뮤지컬 동아리 활동이 학교폭력예방효과에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교폭력예방 뮤지컬 동아리 사업은 뮤지컬 동아리 지도교사와 학생들에게 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 셋째, 학교 예술교육을 활성화 시키는데 있어 예산을 집중적으로 투입하는 것보다는 예술 동아리 운영에 필요한 콘텐츠를 제공하는 것이 더 효과적이다. 넷째, 인성교육 및 예술교육 정책은 사업설계단계에서 교사들이 참여하는 것이 효과적이다.

영문 초록

This study explore the condition of operation and effectiveness of the ‘Musical-Clubs Project for preventing School Violence’ implemented with elementary, middle and high schools nationwide by the Ministry of Education, the Foundation for Preventing Youth Violence, and KBS Media. Musical education was officially introduced to the schools as the Ministry of Education started the Student Musical Project in 2013. The Project for Supporting Musical Clubs to prevent School Violence set a direction to expect an effect on the prevention of school violence rather than aiming at arts education presupposing students’ performance. The Project for Supporting Musical Clubs to prevent School Violence was implemented by providing musical contents instead, minimizing the budgets granted by the schools. This study analyzed the educational effect of culture and arts education in the schools and the process in which it was introduced in the schools of musical education, the process in which a policy was set up for the Project for Supporting Musical Clubs to prevent School Violence and the project was promoted and the responses of the teachers and students of musical clubs to the project, conducting a survey with them. The conclusions drawn through this are as follows. First, it turned out that musical club activities were effective in preventing school violence. Second, the Project for Supporting Musical Clubs to prevent School Violence was positively received by the teachers and students of the musical clubs. Third, providing the contents necessary for the operation of the art clubs is more effective than executing budgets, intensively to revitalize school arts education. Fourth, teachers’ participation in the step of project design is effective in personality education and arts education policy.
