금문의 자형을 응용한 캘리그래피의 교육

국문 초록

캘리그래피는 단순히 실용성 위주의 내용을 기록하는 단계를 넘어 보다 심미(審美)적인 표현을 하고자 하는 미적 욕구에 의해 자연스럽게 일상적으로 보편화되어 오늘에 이르고 있다. 금문의 다양하고 풍부한 부정형의 회화적 요소들은 새로운 미적 공간을 창출하고자 하는 의지에서 비롯된 바, 이러한 금문 자형의 심미적 특징을 활용하면 캘리그래피 입문자들에 대한 체계적인 교육이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 우선 기물에 쓰인 금문 자형의 심미적인 특징을 정의하고 각각의 특징에 교육생들을 소그룹화하여 각자의 작품에 동일한 심미적 특징을 반영되도록 유도하였다. 이를 위해 금문을 포치미, 여백미, 기맥미, 형상미, 유동미, 굴신미, 참치미로 구분하였다. 각각의 소그룹에 속한 캘리그래피 입문자들에게 해당 금문의 심미적 특징에 대한 설명을 한 후 각각의 심미적 특징이 반영된 작품을 완성하게 하였다. 그 결과 앞에서 다룬 심미적 특징을 반영한 작품들이 도출될 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 금문 자형의 심미적 특징을 일곱 가지로 구분하였으나, 보다 다양한 특징들로 세분화하여 캘리그래피 교육에 적용하는 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

Calligraphy is becoming increasingly popular by the aesthetic desire to express more aesthetics beyond the stage of recording practical contents. This study suggests that the varieties of rich and irregular pictorial elements of Gummun are derived from the will to create a new aesthetic space, and that systematic education for calligraphers will be possible by using these aesthetic characteristics of Gummun. First, we defined the aesthetic characteristics of Gummun used in the objects, and classified the students into small groups to reflect the same aesthetic characteristics in their works. For this purpose, the aesthetic characteristics of Gummun were divided into Pochimi, Yeobaekmi, Gimaekmi, Hyeongsangmi, Yudongmi, Gulsinmi and Chamchimi. After studying about the each aesthetic characteristics of Gummun, calligraphy beginners who belonged to each small group had to complete their works. As a result, the works reflecting the aesthetic characteristics of the above had been produced. In this study, we divided the aesthetic characteristics of Gummun into seven categories, but it is necessary to subdivide the aesthetic characteristics of Gummun into more various features.
