결혼이주여성의 여가활동 수용과정에 관한 근거이론적 연구 : 커뮤니티 아트 참여경험을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내에 거주하는 결혼이주여성 중 커뮤니티 아트 참여자를 대상으로 근거이론적 연구방법을 적용하여 여가활동 수용과정을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과 72개의 개념, 25개의 하위범주, 7개의 범주가 도출되었다. 구체적으로 결혼이주여성들은 언어적 ․ 문화적 차이로 인한 어려움의 인과적 조건과 경제적 차이로 인한 맥락적 조건이 원인이 되어 커뮤니티아트와 같은 여가활동 참여를 준비하는 중심현상이 나타났다. 이를 통해 중재적 조건에서는 여가활동에 긍정적 ․ 부정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 작용/상호작용 전략을 통해서는 참여자들이 커뮤니티 아트를 배움으로써 한국문화예술의 매력성을 알게 되었고, 관계맺음 속에서 자아정체감이 형성되고, 한국생활에 익숙해진다고 하였다. 마지막으로는 이러한 과정을 통해 관계맺음 속에서 나와 나의 가족을 알게 된다는 결과가 나타났다. 또한 핵심범주로는 ‘커뮤니티 아트 여가수용 과정을 통해 나를 이해하고 관계맺음 속에서의 나의 가족(타인) 이해’로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 결혼이주여성들은 고국과 타국의 문화적인 갈등과 언어적 문제, 경제적 문제 등의 극복을 위해 커뮤니티 아트를 배우고 비슷한 처지에 있는 사람들과 소통하는 시간을 가짐으로써 한국문화에 적응해가고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the process of accommodating leisure activity among seven subjects participating in community art out of married female expats living in our country, using grounded theory out of qualitative research methods for its analysis. As a result, the study drew 71 concepts, 24 subcategories and 10 categories. Looking at the detailed findings, there emerged a central phenomenon of difficulty-experiencing owing to cultural differences while preparing for leisure activity and using supporting systems, whereby married female expats began to be interested in Korean culture because of their longing for the motherland and foreignness to a new culture. As a result of mediating effects such as suffering from psychological conflict, becoming comfortable, experiencing the crisis of early interruption along with experiencing community art, they could find the merits of Korean culture and art. And also through action/interaction strategy of continual efforts, they could build self-identity and understand their family (others) amid relatedness. Process of accommodating leisure activity by the elapse of time unfolded via five stages: interest in Korean culture away from longing for the motherland; conflicts between own and other cultures; time needed to overcome them; cultural adaptation; understanding others amid leisure activity. While, the core category turned out to be Via process of accommodating leisure activity in community art, to understand myself, and my family (others) amid relatedness . As a conclusion, the study found that married female expats in Korea learned community art to overcome the cultural conflicts between homeland and foreign land, language and economic problems, and by communicating with people with similar circumstances, could be acquainted with Korean culture and culturally adapted.
