예술교육 활성화를 위한 마을교육공동체 사례 연구

국문 초록

최근 들어 문화의 변화, 생활수준의 향상, 4차 산업혁명의 영향으로 나타난 예술교육 관련 사교육의 증가를 공교육에 흡수하고자 하는 추세가 늘어나고 있다. 본 연구는 시흥시 마을교육공동체 사례를 분석하여 마을교육공동체 기반 예술교육의 발전가능성을 찾고 학생들에게 미치는 영향과 예술교육의 활성화를 위한 시사점을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구는 마을축제를 중심으로 초・중・고와 마을을 연계하는 ‘마을연계창의적교육과정’과 또래Ⅱ오케스트라의 학교급간 연계 사례를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 마을교육공동체 기반 예술교육의 발전가능성이 예술교육의 ‘확장’, 학교와 마을의 ‘상생’, 공동체 간의‘지속성’의 측면에서 나타났다. 그리고 마을교육공동체 기반의 예술교육이 학생에게 미치는 영향은 예술의 일상화, 마을 주민으로서의 성장, 오케스트라의 사회화라는 요인으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 예술교육의 수직적・수평적 확장, 학생들이 성장하는 긍정적인 효과와 마을과 학교 간의 문제점을 논의하였고, 예술교육의 활성화를 위해 마을과 학교의 역할의 재구성과 학교급간의 확대 방안을 개선방안으로 제안하였다.

영문 초록

In recent years, there has been an increasing tendency that public education tries to absorb the increase of private education related to arts education due to changes in culture, improvement of living standard, and influence of the fourth industrial revolution. This study aimed to find the potential benefits of arts education based on the community, the effects on its students, and the implication to vitalize arts education as an activation plan for arts education, by analyzing the case of arts education based on the community in Siheung-Si. The study analyzed, with a focus of village festival, village based creative curriculum associated with the elementary, middle, and high schools in the village and the inter-school students orchestra. From this case study, the three potential benefits of arts education were deduced, which were an expansion of arts education, a win-win relationship between schools and the community, and the continuity of community relations. In addition, the normalization of arts, development as community members, and socialization of orchestra were concluded as the largest effect on its students. The study findings also indicated vertical and horizontal expansion of arts education and a positive impact on student development with existing problems between communities and schools. Finally, the study suggested that roles between communities and schools should be restructured and long-term plan of inter-schools should be expanded.
