전문직 은퇴노인의 클래식 음악프로그램 참여 경험의미 탐색 - 대학부설 평생교육원을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구는 전문직 은퇴 후 대학부설 평생교육원에서 취미 및 특기활동의 일환으로 클래식 음악프로그램 성악교실에 참여한 노인 학습자의 경험 의미를 탐색하였다. 연구 참여자는 경기도 소재 D대학부설 평생교육원 클래식 음악프로그램의 성악교실에 8학기 이상 수강한 5명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 질적 연구로 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 재구성하여 심층면담을 진행한 후 전체 인식하기, 의미단위 구분하기, 학문적 용어로 전환하기, 중심의미의 구조적 통합 및 기술의 4단계 연구절차로 수행하였다. 연구결과, 2개의 구성요소와 5개의 하위구성요소 및 10개의 주요 의미단위가 도출되었다. 2개의 구성요소를 간략히 설명하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자의 클래식 음악프로그램 참여 배경은 배움에 대한 의식 변화와 함께 학습활동 참여 요구 증가와 참여의 실천으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이들의 클래식 음악프로그램 참여 경험은 은퇴 후 직장 공동체를 벗어나 동료 노인과의 인간관계 및 공감대 형성과 위축되지 않는 삶살이 기회를 제공해 주는 과정이었다. 그들의 참여경험 후 삶의 변화는 배움의 지속을 가능하게 하는 정신건강과 행복 추구를 위한 회귀(回歸)로 의미를 두고 있었다. 결론적으로, 대학부설 평생교육원의 클래식 음악프로그램은 전문직 은퇴노인에게 배움에 대한 인식변화와 함께 건강한 신체 유지 및 대인관계 증진 기회와 정서적 안정감 그리고 재능기부와 사회봉사 참여기회 확장에 도움을 주고 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to investigate the meaning of experiences of elderly learners who participated in vocal classroom of classical music program as a part of hobby and specialty activities at university-affiliated lifelong education center after retirement. The participants of this study were the 5 students who took more than 8 semesters in vocal classroom of classical music program of Lifelong Education Center attached to D university in Gyeonggi-do Province. The research methodology is based on a qualitative research, reconstructing Giorgi s phenomenological research methodology, conducting in-depth interviews, and then conducting a four-step study of the overall recognition, semantic segmentation, conversion to academic terminology. As a result of the study, two components, five subcomponents and ten major semantic units were derived. The two components are briefly described as follows. First, participants participation in classical music program was found to be related to the change of consciousness about learning, the increase of participation in learning activities and the practice of participation. Second, their experience of participating in classical music programs was a process of leaving the workplace community after retirement and providing opportunities for people to live with their fellow elderly people and to form a consensus and dauntless life. The change of life after their participation experience, was meaningful as mental health that enables the continuation of learning and the return for the pursuit of happiness. In conclusion, the classical music program of university-affiliated Lifelong Education Center shows that it helps the professional retired elderly to change their perceptions of learning, to maintain healthy body and to increase interpersonal relationship, emotional stability, and to expand opportunities for talent donation and social service participation.
