결혼이주 다문화가정의 가족레질리언스 형성요인에 관한 질적 탐구

국문 초록

이 연구는 질적 탐구 방법을 활용하여 다문화가정의 부부가 자녀를 키우고 살아나가는 삶의 경험 속에서 가족레질리언스가 형성되는 요인을 살펴보고자 하였다. 가족레질리언스 접근은 가족을 역경과 스트레스를 극복하기 위한 하나의 자원체계로 이해한다. 다시 말해서, 가족구성원의 변화에 대한 적응과 결속력의 강화라는 긍정적 측면으로 다문화가정을 바라보고 인식하는 가족레질리언스 관점으로 접근하였다. 이들의 경험 속에서 의미를 해석하고 범주화한 결과, 주요한 가족레질리언스 요인으로는 첫째, 경제적 어려움 극복을 통한 동지애 형성, 둘째, 가족 결속력 강화, 셋째, 원활한 의사소통을 추출하였다. 또한 하위요인으로는 ‘아내가 남편의 경제문제에 적극적으로 개입’, ‘가족과 사회의 지원을 적극적으로 활용’, ‘경제활동에 참여’, ‘상호보완적인 양육태도’, ‘문화적 차이에 대한 타협’, ‘의사소통에 대한 적극적 의지’, ‘개방적 정서표현을 통한 협력적 태도’ 등을 도출하였다. 향후, 다문화가정의 특성을 고려하여 부부가 서로 동지애를 형성하고 결속력을 강화하며 긍정적인 의사소통을 향상할 수 있는 가족구성원의 인식 개선, 타문화 이해 증진, 의사소통훈련 등의 성인교육 프로그램 개발과 확대에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate, by using qualitative inquiry method, various factors that lead to creating family resilience through life experience shared by married couples of multicultural families when raising their children. The family resilience approach recognizes family as a resource system to overcome hardship and stress. We approached this inquiry from the positive perspective of family resilience that recognizes multicultural families adapting to continuous changes in family members yet still strengthening family cohesion. We attempted to interpret and categorize the meaning of their life experience and concluded that the main factors of family resilience are (1) formation of comradeship through overcoming economic difficulties, (2) strengthening family cohesion, and (3) open communication. In sub-domain, we identified the factors such as, wife actively intervene husband s financial problems , actively uses the support of family and community , participate in economic activities , complementary parenting attitude , compromise on cultural differences and cooperative attitude through open communication . In the future, considering these characteristics of multicultural families, we expect to contribute to the development and expansion of adult education programs to help strengthen comradeship of couples, reinforce cohesion of their relationship, promote positive and open communication among family members, and improve their awareness of cultural differences.
