노인학대 사례개입과정에서 피해노인의 안전확보에 영향을 미치는 요인 근거이론 방법 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인학대 사례개입과정에서 피해노인의 안전확보에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 노인학대사례개입의 실천적․정책적 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 4개 노인보호전문기관의 8명의 상담원을 대상으로 10개의 노인학대사례에 대해 심층개별면접을 실시하고 근거이론방법을 활용하여 사례개입 결과, 피해노인의 안전이 확보된 사례와 확보되지 못한 사례로 분류 및 비교하였다. 연구결과, 피해노인의 안전이 확보된 사례와 피해노인의 안전이 확보되지 못한 사례는 인과적 조건과 맥락적 조건, 중재적 조건은 동일하게 도출되었으나 “중심현상: 학대가 발생하고 피해노인은 개입에 개방적 자세를 취함/학대가 발생하고 피해노인과 학대행위자는 개입에 폐쇄적 자세를 취함”, “작용․상호작용 전략: 상담원과 유관기관은 적절히 개입함/상담원은 적절히 개입하지만 유관기관은 미흡하게 대응함”이 다르게 도출되었다. 즉, 노인학대 사례개입과정에서 피해노인 안전확보에 영향을 미치는 요인은 개입에 대한 피해노인과 학대행위자의 자세 그리고 유관기관의 대응 여부로 분석되었다. 이를 근거로 노인학대예방을 위한 가족교육과 피해노인의 협조를 유도할 수 있는 전략수립, 학대행위자 대상 개입을 위한 방안마련 그리고 유관기관 협력유도를 위한 제도적 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide practical and policy implications of intervention process of elder abuse by examining factors that affect older victim’s safety in the process of elder abuse intervention. We conducted in-depth interviews with eight counselors from the four Korea Elder Protection Agencies. A total of 10 elder abuse cases were analyzed based on the grounded theory method. These cases were categorized into two groups of cases: secured safety case and unsecured safety cases, and compared between two groups. The secured safety cases and the unsecured safety cases showed same causal condition, contextual condition, and interventional condition. However, the core phenomenon and the action-interaction strategy were different. Thus, in the intervention process of elder abuse cases, factors that influence the security of the older victim were older victim’s and abuser’s attitudes toward interventions and the response of related agencies. Based on these results, we proposed family education for the prevention of elder abuse, establishing strategies that increase the cooperation of older victims, designing interventions for abusers, and institutional implications for increasing the cooperation of related agencies
