미술치료사의 매체 사용현황 및 인식에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료사들의 매체 사용현황을 파악하고 매체에 대한 인식을 분석함으로써 매체 활용의 다양성을 확보하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 자료 수집은 2018년 3월부터 9월까지 전국에서 활동하고 있는 미술치료사 111인을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 기술통계와 F검정, 사후검정으로 Scheffe-test를 하였다. 연구 분석 결과는 첫째, 미술치료사들은 도화지나 A4용지, 색종이, 색도화지, 색연필, 크레용/크레파스 등 사용과 재료의 구입이 용이한 매체를 많이 사용하였다. 둘째, 미술치료사의 경력 및 학력에 따른 매체 사용빈도 분석결과, 경력이 짧은 사람보다 긴 사람이, 석사과정생에 비해 미술치료학 박사학위를 소지한 집단이 매체를 더 다양하게 사용하였다. 셋째, 미술치료사들은 매체를 선택할 때 내담자의 특성에 맞는 매체를 선택하였으며, 치료사가 매체를 선택하지 않는 이유로 내담자의 매체 거부가 있었다. 교육 경험에 대한 응답 결과, 교과 및 교과과정 외의 교육을 경험한 치료사의 수가 많았으나, 교육경험이 없다는 응답도 있었다. 매체와 관련된 정보를 획득하는 방법으로는 현장에서의 경험과 직접 문구점 및 화방을 방문한다는 의견이 많았다. 후속연구를 통해, 다양한 미술치료 매체 및 내담자의 특성에 맞는 매체 적용방안에 대한 연구가 필요하며, 미술치료사의 매체 활용에 대한 체계적인 교육과 실습경험이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to provide basic data for ensuring diversity in media use by identifying current media usage by art therapists and analyzing media recognitions. The study data was collected after surveying 111 art therapists from March 2018 to September 2018. The analysis of the data was conducted with technical statistics, F-test, and Scheffe-test by postmortem. The findings showed the following: First, art therapists used many easy to use and buy media such as paper, A4 paper, colored paper, colored pencils, crayons. Second, the analysis of media usage frequency according to the experience and academic background of art therapists showed that the art therapist with long-term experience and PhDs used a wider variety of media. Third, Art therapists often choose media that fit the characteristic of the client, and when the client rejects the media, the therapists do not choose the same media in a later session. The results of the response to the education experience showed that many therapists experienced education outside of the curriculum but also said that they did not have any educational experience. There were many comments about how to obtain media-related information, such as experience in the field and visiting direct stationery stores and art supply stores. Considering broad media information, follow-up research should explore appropriate media application methods tailored characteristics of clients as well as systematic training and hands-on experiences on media usage for art therapists.
