대학생의 행동억제가 우울과 사회불안에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 행동억제와 정서조절곤란이 우울 및 사회불안에 미치는 상대적 영향을 알아보고, 행동억제가 우울 및 사회불안에 미치는 영향에 대한 정서조절곤란의 조절효과를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 및 기타 소재 대학(교)에 재학 중인 학생 585명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 성별에 따라 행동억제, 정서조절곤란, 우울 및 사회불안은 각각 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 모든 변인에서 여자가 남자에 비해 높은 점수를 보였다. 둘째, 대학생의 우울을 가장 잘 설명하는 변인은 정서적 명료성 부족인 반면, 사회불안을 가장 잘 설명하는 변인은 정서조절전략 접근 제한으로 드러났다. 셋째, 대학생의 정서조절곤란은 행동억제가 우울에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 조절효과를 갖는 반면, 행동억제가 사회불안에 미치는 영향에서는 조절효과를 갖지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 후속연구에 대한 제언과 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were twofold to investigate the relative influences between behavioral inhibition and emotion dysregulation on depression and social anxiety and to identify the moderating effect of emotion dysregulation in influences of behavioral inhibition on depression and social anxiety. 585 undergraduate students in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and other areas completed a series of questionnaires. The results of this study were as follows: first, gender differences in behavioral inhibition, emotion dysregulation, depression and social anxiety were found, which were all higher in females. Second, depression was mostly accounted for by lack of emotional clarity, while social anxiety was mostly accounted for by limited access to emotional regulation strategies. Third, emotion dysregulation moderated the relation between behavioral inhibition and depression, but not the relation between behavioral inhibition and social anxiety. Based on these results, the implications of this study were discussed with the suggestions for future studies.
