중등학교의 ‘공감적 학교공동체 역량’ 구축을 위한 요구분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목표는 중등학교에서 ‘공감적 학교공동체 역량’ 구축을 위한 요구분석을 실시함으로써 공감적 학교공동체 구축을 위한 시사점을 얻는데 있다. 이를 위해 중등학교 학생과 교사 총 558명을 대상으로 공감적 학교공동체가 되기 위한 ‘필요수준정도’와 ‘현재수준정도’를 설문으로 조사하였다. 요구분석을 위해 첫째, t검증을 통해 바람직한 수준과 현재수준의 차이를 통계적으로 검증하였다. 둘째, Borich의 요구도 공식을 사용하여 우선순위를 도출하였다. 셋째, The Locus for Focus 모델을 활용하여 요구도를 좌표평면을 이용하여 제시하였다. 넷째, 이를 종합하여 최우선 순위 항목과 차 우선순위 항목을 도출하였다. 연구결과 집단에 따른 즉, 학생과 교사에 따른 공통점은 발견되지 않았으며 서로 다른 인식을 보여주고 있다. 학생들의 경우 공동체의 약자를 도우려는 태도, 도움을 요청하기 위한 방법, 서로의 생각 존중, 공동체를 위해 헌신하는 분위기에 대한 요구가 높은 반면, 교사들은 꿈과 목표의 공유에 대한 요구가 높아 집단에 따라 서로 다른 인식을 보여주고 있다. 시사점과 추후연구에서의 제안점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the differences in current and desirable status of empathetic school community of teachers and students in secondary schools in South Korea based on the dimensions of the Empathetic School Community Competency Inventory (ESCCI). A total of 558 students and teachers provided usable data for this study. A t-test was employed to detect the gap of two statuses. Next, the Borich’s needs assessment model was adapted to derive the order of priority of the empathetic school community competency of school community members. Finally, the result of needs analysis based on the Locus for Focus model was produced. The result of the study indicated that there existed statistically significant differences between groups. In the case of students, attitude to help weak in school community, methods to ask for help, respect each other, atmosphere to dedicate to school community were derived as priorities. In the case of teaches, sharing vision and goals was derived as priority of the group. Therefore, the result revealed that both teachers and students recognized differently. Implications and suggestions for future studies are discussed.
