초등학생의 자기효능감과 ‘빗속의 사람’ 그림 반응 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 성별에 따라 초등학생의 자기효능감과 ‘빗속의 사람그림’ 반응 특성이 통계적으로 유의미 한 차이가 있는지를 알아보고 나아가 자기효능감에 따라 ‘빗속의 사람그림’ 반응 특성이 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 알아보려는데 있다. 연구대상은 제주시 2개교 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 338명이었으며, 측정도구는 자기기입식 설문지인 자기효능감 척도와 빗속의 사람그림 검사를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 12.0 전산 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test와 교차분석(chi-square analysis)을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별 에 따라 초등학생의 자기효능감은 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 빗속의 사람그림의 스트레스에서 성별에 따라 유의미 한 차이를 나타낸 변인은 비의 양, 비의 세기, 바람세기, 비와 사람의 접촉, 전체 선의 질, 번개 수, 웅덩이 수, 웅덩이 면적, 음영 등 9개 변인이다. 빗속의 사람 그림의 스트레스대처자원에서 성별에 따른 유의미한 차이를 나타낸 변인은 직접보호물의 유무, 보호물의 적절성, 얼굴표정 등 3개 변인이다. 셋째, 자기효능감이 높은 집단 이 낮은 집단보다 빗속의 사람 그림에서 비의 양이 적으며, 바람의 세기가 약하고, 전체 선의 질이 안정되고, 얼굴의 모습이 보호물에 가려진 모습과 해를 그리는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate any significant gender difference between elementary school students' self-efficacy and their Person In the Rain drawings, and further to investigate if the degree of elementary school students' self-efficacy has any significant influence on their Person In the Rain drawings. The participants for the study were a total of 338 children in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade at two elementary schools in the city of Jeju. The instruments were a self-reported questionnaire measuring the self-efficacy and Person In the Rain drawings. A t-test and chi-square analysis were conducted on the data using the SPSS WIN 12.0. The findings are as follows. First, no significant gender difference was found between male and female students' self-efficacy. Second, as with the Person in the Rain drawings, significant gender differences in dealing with their stress were found in the 9 variables including the amount of rain, intensity of rain, intensity of wind, contact of rain on the person, quality of lines, lightning counts, muddle counts, muddle sizes, and shades. The analysis of the participants' Person in the Rain drawings found significant gender differences in their defences against the rain in the three variables including the existence of direct protection, the properness of the protection, and facial expressions. Third, the higher self-efficacy group showed less amount of rain, weaker wind, steady line quality, faces blocked by the protection, and the existence of the sun as compared with the low self-efficacy group.
