만다라 그림과 난화기 원의 치료적 의미에 대한 관계고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료의 만다라 그림에서 원의 치료적 의미를 난화기에 표현되는 원과 원의 변화 과정을 통하여 고찰하고자 하였다. 기존의 연구가 만다라 프로그램을 적용하면서 사전, 사후의 검사도구를 통하여 결과를 증명하는데 치중한 점에 근거하여, 본 연구는 만다라의 중심 형태인 원의 치료적 의미를 아동화 발달과정과 관련하여 살펴보았다. 만다라의 기본 형태인 원은 시각적 묘사가 시작되는 아동기 초기 경험과 관련 있으며, 이는 치료적 역할에 의미가 있을 것이라는 점에서 난화기를 자아성장과 관련하여 분석한 Egger의 이론을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 원은 아동기 초기의 자아성장과 관련된 것으로, 질서, 리듬, 역동적 운동, 자아의 분리, 집중력, 주의력, 정신적 질서, 성취감, 자신감, 모성적 경험, 환경에 대한 관심과 상호관계를 경험하게 한다는 것을 고찰할 수 있었다. 아동기 초기에 원 그리기를 통한 긍정적 경험은 인간의 심리적, 신체적 성장에 지속적으로 영향을 끼치며, 만다라 그리기에서 치료적 요인으로 작용할 수 있는 근거를 제시하여 다양한 연령의 내담자들에게도 적용할 수 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the therapeutic meaning of the circle based on the development of children's drawing, the scribbling stage, in creating mandala. While the study of creating mandala tended to get the result through the psychological test, this study tried to find out the meaning of the circle, the central form of mandala, based on the scribbling stage in children's drawing. The starting point of the study was that the circle might have the closer relevance with the experiences of early childhood and drawing and therapeutic roles based on the theory of Egger's scribbling stage. The result of the study can suggest that creating circle in childhood contributes the development of ego, order, rhythm, dynamic motor, the division of ego, concentration, attention, psychological order, fulfillment, self-confidence, maternal experience, interest on environment and interaction with others. These experiences of creating circle connected with mandala in early childhood can contribute to function not only as the psychological and physical development, but also as therapeutic factors and the possibility of application to clients of all ages.
