국문 초록

그림은 그것을 그린 사람의 내변 세계를 함축하고 있다. 그림을 그린 사람의 지능, 성격 등이 그림 속에 투사되는 것이다. 이런 점에 의거해서 19세기 후반부터 아동화에 대한 심리학적 연구가 시작되었다. 초기에는 주로 아동화의 발달단계와 지능측정에 대한 연구들이 이루어져 왔지만 1940년을 전후해서 그림은 지능 성숙도의 측정 도구로서 뿐만 아니라, 성격 진단 도구로서 등장하기 시작했다. 그림의 형태나 내용, 구성풍을 통해서 그것을 그런 사람의 심리적 특성과 심리적 상태에 관한 확증을 찾으려는 노력이 시도되어 왔다. 한 개인의 성격을 평가하는 데는 여러 가지 방법이 있지만 아동의 경우에는 언어 전달이 정확하지 않기 때문에 언어를 통한 평가에는 어려움이 많았다. 그래서 언어 표현 능력이 미발달된 아동의 내변 세계를 탐색하기 위해 그림을 통한 심리검사가 개발되었다. 아동들은 놀이나 공상과 같은 상징적인 삶을 통해 어른들의 삶을 준비하는 경향이 있으며, 그림으로 표현하는 데 있어서도-작품에 대한 책임감이 적기 때문에 어른틀보다 훨씬 쉽게 표현할 수 있다. 그러므로 아동의 그림은 심리진단뿐만 아니라 심리치료에도 적용되고 있으며, 그 대상 범위도 점점 확대되어 가고 있는 추세이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the Squiggle-Drawing Game(SDG) for the assessment of kindergarten children’s psychology. SDG and HTP tests were employed for the this study. The results from the SDG and HTP tests were analyzed and compared in order to examine the agreement between them. The subjects were 29 children aged between 6 and 7. who went to S kindergarten in Taegu. Each subject was individually interviewed for about 40 minutes. They were interested in and also serious about the interviews. The instrurnents of measurement were the SDG and HTP tests. For SDG, the assessment criteria. Kurihara & Takano(1992, 1994) were used. The SDG was conducted for two different areas. The first was the assessment for pictures, and the other was the assessment for pictures and stories. For the HTP test, I refered to the assessment criteria of Buck(1987) and those of Takahasi(l994). The assessment results were divided for affection and for sociality. Affection refered to the children’s emotions-anxiety, contraction, drive, tension -, which were revealed in the pictures and the stories. Sociality described the children’s family relationship， adaptation whih peers and concern/interest about the outer world, all of which were revealed in pictures and stories. In order to examine the agreement between the results from the SDG and HTP tests, a 5-point rating scale was developed. The agreement was analyzed by experts. The mean of agreement analyzed by experts were 3.35 for affection and 3.40 for sociality, which were obviously higher than great agreement(3.0). therefore it can be concluded that SDG is an instrument as useful as HTP in assessing kindergarten children’s psychology.
