국문 초록

본 논문은 중부지역 중도식 주거에 시설된 외줄구들의 계보와 형식 변화를 살펴보고 이를 토대로 외줄구들과 관련된 여러 쟁점들을 검토하기 위해 작성되었다. 먼저 외줄구들의 계보와 형식 변화를 살펴보았는데, 중부지역에서 가장 이르게 출현한 ‘ㄱ’자형 외줄구들은 단결－크로노프카 문화유형의 외줄구들을 채용하였지만, 곧이어 구조적인 개량을 통해 중도식 주거의 일반적인 외줄구들로 변화하였다. ‘｜’자형 외줄구들은 중국 漢代 부뚜막 明器에서 기원했다는 견해가 많았지만, 외줄구들의 평면 형태, 위치, 구조로 볼 때, ‘ㄱ’자형 외줄구들에서 ‘｜’자형 외줄구들로의 계기적인 변화가 확인되었다. 이러한 변화는 포천 사정리 모래내유적, 서울 풍납동 197번지 원삼국시대 취락에서 관찰되는 점을 고려할 때, 임진·한탄강 유역과 한강 하류 등 여러 지역에서 ‘｜’자형 외줄구들이 동시 다발적으로 출현하였을 가능성이 높다. 외줄구들은 기원후 100~250년 무렵의 한랭화에 따라 출현하였지만, 외줄구들의 구조와 위치는 난방면적을 점차 줄여나가면서 난방 효율은 유지하는 방향으로 변화하였다. 즉 ‘ㄱ’자형 외줄구들에서 ‘｜’자형 외줄구들로의 변화는 주거 내부 공간을 넓게 활용하기 위해 난방 면적을 축소한 결과이지만, 이를 보완하기 위하여 벽체 구조를 개선한 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 ‘｜’자형 외줄구들이 영서지역에 분포하고 있는 점에 주목하여 이를 한성기 백제의 영역확장과 관련된 자료로 인식하고 있는 견해에 대해 비판적으로 검토하였다.

영문 초록

This paper aimed to explain the genealogy and change of underfloor heating system constructed in Chungo style settlement and inquire into the various issues related with the underfloor heating system. Firstly, I examine the genealogy and change in form of underfloor heating system. The ‘ㄱ’ shaped underfloor heating system appeared in middle area adopted to underfloor heating system of type of culture of Union-Kronofga, but immediately through the structural reorganization it changed into common type of Chungdo style settlement. The were many views that ‘l’ shaped underfloor heating system orignated in wood-burning stove of the Han Dynasty in China, but through the plane shape, location, structure of underfloor heating system we could find the instrumental change from ‘ㄱ’ shaped underfloor heating system to ‘l’ shaped. Given that this change could find in remains in Moreanae, Pocheon and 197 Pungnap-dong in Seoul settlement in Proto Three Kongdom period, there is high probability that in the basin of Imjingang River, Hantangang River and han river downstream, the ‘l’ shaped underfloor heating system appeared at the same time. The underfloor heating system appeared in A.D. 100~250 because of temperature coldness, but the structure and location of underfloor heating system was change into maintain of heating efficiency reducing the heating area. In other words, the change from ‘ㄱ’ shaped underfloor heating system to ‘l’ shaped was resulted by reducing the heating area to utilize widely the inside space, but the structure of wall was improved to supplement this. Finally, I take note of that ‘l’ shaped underfloor heating system distribute in Youngseo region, and I critically reviewed the view that it was recognized in materials related with territory extension of Baekje.
