국문 초록

음악 수업에서 개념을 중요하게 다루더라도 모든 학습자들이 올바른 음악 개념을 가지게 되는 것은 아니다. 학교음악교육에 있어 새로운 음악 개념을 가르치는 수업도 중요하지만 학습자들의 음악적 오개념을 예상하고 이를 방지하기 위한 지도도 중요하다는 인식이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 음악 개념 지도 시 학습자들이 가지게 될 수 있는 오개념을 방지하기 위한 음악 지도 방안을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이에 본 연구는 ‘음악 개념 학습의 이해’에서는 음악의 구성요소와 음악 개념, 우리나라 음악과 교육과정의 변천에 따른 음악 개념 학습, 음악 개념과 관련된 물리적·수학적·심리적 측면의 내용을 기술하였으며, ‘오개념 방지를 위한 음악 지도’에서는 음악적 오개념을 유발할 수 있는 언어적인 설명이나 음악 활동의 의미를 살펴보아 리듬, 가락, 화음(화성), 셈여림, 빠르기를 중심으로 학습자들의 오개념을 예상하고 이를 방지하기 위한 개념별 음악 지도 방안을 제시하였다. 학습자들이 가지고 있는 음악적 오개념은 이후의 음악적 성장을 방해하는 요인이 되기 때문에 오개념 방지뿐만 아니라 수정 지도 방법에도 관심이 필요해 보인다.

영문 초록

Despite the fact that music classes deal with ‘concept’ in a significant manner, not all learners are able to build the right music concept. As much as teaching a new music concept in school music education is important, an awareness of anticipating musical misconceptions and providing guidelines to prevent such circumstances is also important for the learners. The purpose of this study is to investigate music instruction in order to prevent misconceptions that learners can obtain while learning music. Thus, chapter two - ‘understanding music concept learning’ - describes musical elements and music concepts, music concept learning according to Korea’s music curriculum transition, and the physical, mathematical, psychological contents regarding music concepts. Chapter three - ‘instructing music for misconception prevention’ - examines linguistic explanations or the meaning of music activities that may invoke musical misconceptions, anticipates misconceptions that learners have, and puts in an effort to prevent such errors by focusing on rhythm, melody, harmony, dynamics, and tempo. Since musical misconceptions held by learners can become barriers in further musical development, not only is there the need for concern toward misconception prevention, but also toward guidance methods that can help revise learners’ misconception.
