국문 초록

본 연구는 시각장애인의 스트레스와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 여가생활의 역할을 검증하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 2016년 장애인 고용패널조사 2차 웨이브 1차 조사 데이터 중 시각장애를 주장 애로 보고한 591명의 응답을 분석에 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 시각장애인이 경험하는 스트레스는 여가생 활과 삶의 만족도에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 여가생활은 삶의 만족도에 긍정적인 영향 을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시각장애인의 여가생활은 스트레스와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 시각장애인이 경험할 수 있는 스트레스 상황에서 삶의 만족도 증진에 기여할 수 있는 여가생활의 중요성을 강조하고, 시각장애인이 여가생활을 향유하기 위한 환경적 지원방안의 필요성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to explore the role of leisure activity in the relationship between stress and life satisfaction for persons with visual impairment. This study used 2nd Wave data extracted from the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED), collected by the Employment Development Institute (EDI). Of the total respondents, 591 respondents who reported visual impairment as a major disability were used for the analysis. In the results, stress was shown to have negative influence on life satisfaction and involvement in leisure activities. In addition, involvement in leisure activities presented a positive influence on life satisfaction for persons with visual impairment, and it was found to be significantly mediated in the relationship between stress and life satisfaction. Based on the findings, the importance of the involvement in leisure activity was highlighted for persons with visual impairment who are exposed to stress. Furthermore, this study calls public attention to the necessity of establishing environmental leisure activity support for this group of people, which could positively contribute to their quality of life.
