영문 초록

The authors compiled a questionnaire with 12 items designed to differentiate anxiety disorder from hyperthyroidism. The questionnaire were given to 90 patients with anxiety disorder and 91 patients with hyperthyroidism. Discriminant function analysis using SPSS/PC + based on the scores of 12 items was carried out to examine the accuracy. 1) All items were significant to differentiate patients with anxiety disorder from patients with hyperthyroidism. 2) It differentiated two groups of patients with 88.4% accuracy. We concluded that this questionnaire could be applied very easily in the clinical setting and would provide valuable guide to differentiate general anxiety from hyperthyroidism.
