영문 초록

Mao, who sought ferociously to rid Chinese society of its traditional Co nfucian roots during the Cultural Revolution. But in fact, he did not deny Chinese traditional thought of the Legalism itself. Confucian and Legalism is both sides of coins in Chinese history, but they have made role togeth er in same space. Recently on anniversary of Confucius birth, Chinese P resident Xi Jinping extolled at length the ancient virtues of Confucius as the guiding light of modern China. Xi told the assembled scholars, “The i deology and culture of today s China is a continuation and sublimation of traditional Chinese ideology and culture.” And “to understand present Chi na, to know the present Chinese, we must delve into the cultural bloodlin e of China, and accurately appreciate the cultural soil that nourishes the Chinese people.” Xi emphasized understanding the national characteristics of the Chinese as well as the historical roots of the spiritual world of the present-day, Chinese should find correct way. Toward the end of his speech, Xi did mention Marxism, but only in the context of another influenc e from abroad that traditional culture has absorbed and synthesized accor ding to China’s concrete realities. Clearly, The Analects of Confucius is f or Xi s Chinese Renaissance what The Little Red Book was for Mao s C ultural Revolution. Members of the Communist Party of China are Marxis ts, who uphold the scientific theories of Marxism, and adhere to and dev elop socialism with Chinese characteristics. Chinese Marxism must be clo sely married to the concrete reality of China and Chinese traditional thou ght. Therefore, the “Chinese dream”, put forth by Chinese President Xi Jinpi ng, is to build a moderately prosperous society and realize national rejuve nation. At present, China is trying to make Chinese specialized country which is corrected adopted with real Marxism and Chinese traditional thought. Currently, the Chinese government is facing a new era of convergence, s uch as socialism and traditional Chinese ideas including Confucianism. Th ese attempts of China will be a new test of China s policies at home and abroad.
