인성핵심역량 신장을 위한 초등학생용 공감 6단계 프로그램 개발

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학생의 인성핵심역량 신장을 위하여 공감 6단계 프로그램을 개발하고, 효과를 검증하 고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 C도에 소재한 6개 초등학교의 교사 6명과 4, 5, 6학년 학생 192명이다. 총 8주간 12차시로 구성된 프로그램을 운영하였으며, 공감 및 KEDI 인성 척도를 활용하여 프로그램의 사 전, 사후 차이와 그 효과를 검증하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해 실험집단과 통제집단의 프로 그램 처치 전․후의 차이를 비교하는 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 인성핵심역량 신장을 위한 프로그램을 구안하기 위해서 공감 6단계(마음 비우기, 언어 이해하기, 논리 이해하기, 욕구 이해하기, 성 장 동기 드러내기, 공감으로 만나기)를 적용하였다. 공감 6단계의 세부영역으로 총 18개의 활동을 구성 하였다. 연구결과, 공감 6단계 프로그램은 초등학생의 공감능력 및 인성핵심역량 신장에 효과가 있는 것 으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 초등학교 현장에서 실천적 인성교육을 위한 효과적인 프로그램으로 활 용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop an empathy 6-step program for enhancing the character core competencies of elementary students. The participants were 6 teachers in 6 elementary schools in C-Province and 192 students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. The program operated twelve hours during a total of eight weeks. The empathy and KEDI character scale were used to verify the pre- and post-program differences and their effects. In order to verify the effectiveness of the program, covariance analysis (ANCOVA) was conducted to compare the differences between the experimental group and the control group before and after the program treatment. In order to develop a program for enhancing the core competency of character, 6 steps of empathy(emptying mind, understanding language, understanding logic, understanding need, revealing growth motivation, encountering with empathy) were applied. Eighteen activities were composed of the details of the six stages of empathy. As a result, it was found that the empathy 6-step program was effective on elementary school students empathy ability and character core competency. The results of this study can be used as an effective program for practical character education in the elementary school.
