국문 초록

본고는 논어 속 ‘인’의 다양성과 공자의 교육 활동의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 교육의 내용으로서의 ‘인’을 ‘인’의 본질, ‘인’의 상태·척도, ‘인’의 실천, ‘인’의 사회적 영향력으로 범주화하여 ‘인’을 다양성을 찾아보고 이를 교육으로 실현되는 모습을 확인하는 데 목적이 있다. 공자의 교육 활동을 살펴보면, ‘인’의 다양한 의미는 교육에서 대화로 실현된다. 공자는 제자에게 ‘인’의 교육내용을 대화로 제시했으며, 제자의 상황과 특성에 따라 각각 다른 ‘인’을 제시함으로써 ‘인’을 인간의 삶 속에서 도덕(道德)에 근거한 다양한 모습으로 인식시켰다. 이러한 과정 속에서 공자의 교육은 일방적으로 제자들에게 가르치는 것이 아닌, 대화를 통해 이루어졌으며 공자 또한 제자들로부터 ‘인’에 근거한 삶의 다양한 형태와 양식에 대하여 생각해 보는 기회를 가짐으로써 교육을 통해 학생뿐만이 아니라 교사 또한 성장하는 모습을 보여준다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the relationship between education and the concept of in ‘the Analects of Confucius’. To achieve this, into four dimensions: the essence of benevolence, the state and scale of benevolence, the practice of benevolence and the social influence of benevolence to uncover the diversity inherent in the concept and to affirm that such diversity is actualized through educational processes. An examination of educational activities reveals that the concept of benevolence is understood as a form of dialogue within the educational context. Confucius acknowledged the various dimensions and characteristics of benevolence in diverse forms grounded in the principle of human life. This approach does not solely involve teaching students about various shapes and forms of life; rather, it emphasizes the importance of experiential learning. Consequently, educators can also assess and recognize the growth of their students.
