국문 초록

본 연구는 아동기 원가족 부모와 부정적 경험이 있는 중년기 남성 10명을 대상으로Giorgi의 현상학적 질적 연구를 통해 중년기 남성들의 부정적 경험과 자기성장에 대해 이해하고 상담적 지원 방안에 대해 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, ‘원가족 부모와의 경험’, ‘부정적 경험후 자기성장’, ‘자기성장 과정에서의 상담경험’, ‘성찰과 희망’의 4개 영역이 도출되었다. 아동기 시절 원가족 부모와의 부정적인 경험은 변화시킬 수는 없어도 부정적 경험에 대한 영향력을 알고 성찰한다면 긍정적인 변화가 가능할 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 아동기 원가족 부모와의부정적 경험 후 정서ㆍ심리적으로 고통을 호소하고 있는 중년기 성인들의 상담 적 치유 및 자기성장에 대한 실제적 함의점 제공 및 상담적 지원 방안을 제시하였다. 특히 그동안 상대적으로 부족했던 중년기 남성의 아동기 부정적 경험과 부정적 경험 후 상담경험이 자기성장에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 연구를 시도했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study used Giorgi's phenomenological qualitative research on 10 middle-aged men who had negative experiences with their parents of origin in childhood to understand the negative experiences and self-growth of middle-aged men and explore ways to provide counseling support. As a result of the study, four areas were derived: ‘Experience with parents of original family’, ‘Self-growth after negative experience’, ‘Counseling experience in the process of self-growth’, and ‘Reflection and hope’. Although negative experiences with parents of origin during childhood cannot be changed, positive changes may be possible if one recognizes and reflects on the influence of negative experiences. Through this study, we provided practical implications and suggested counseling support measures for the counseling healing and self-growth of middle-aged adults who are complaining of emotional and psychological pain after negative experiences with their parents of origin during childhood. In particular, it is significant in that it attempted to study how negative childhood experiences and post-negative counseling experiences of middle-aged men, which have been relatively lacking, affect self-growth.
