This study examines the psychological healing potential of film art and its application as a tool for mental health intervention. By integrating theoretical analysis with practical case studies, the research explores how films facilitate emotional resonance, cognitive adjustment, and psychological well-being. The findings highlight three key aspects: (1) Films act as a bridge for emotional resonance, enabling individuals to release suppressed emotions and find psychological support; (2) Through character development, narrative conflict, and visual symbolism, films promote cognitive restructuring and offer rich resources for psychological interventions; (3) Film therapy, as a non-invasive and adaptable method, demonstrates practical value in individual healing, group interaction, and cross-cultural adaptation. Despite its potential, challenges such as individual differences, ethical considerations, and the lack of standardized practices limit the broader application of film therapy. Future directions include cross-cultural studies, integration of emerging technologies (e.g., VR, AI), and the development of tailored interventions for specific populations. This study underscores the interdisciplinary value of film art in advancing mental health and advocates for its expanded role in psychological support and care.
