국문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative characteristics of half tables in Qing Dynasty. Therefore, taking the last dynasty of China ruled by the Manzu ethnic minority as the historical background, this paper focuses on the characteristics of half table formed in this period. In order to get the results, literature research method and empirical research method are used to analyze 80 cases. The research results are as follows.The results of the analysis by type show that the number of round half tables accounts for the largest proportion among the four types of half tables. Rectangular half table and trapezoidal half table were also frequently used in the Qing Dynasty. The number of half tables in the shape of clubs is minimal, but re- flects the high status of the user. The specific morphological and structural characteristics are that the “chuanxiaoguaxun” accounts for the largest proportion of faces and legs in the con- nected part, and the S-shaped legs are the most common, and there are more four-corner and professional legs.The most commonly used surface making techniques of half table in Qing Dynasty are carving techniques. The decorative patterns of the Qing Dynasty half table reflect the diversity and complexity, and most of the traditional Chinese decorative patterns with beau- tiful and auspicious meanings are used. The most used materials for making half table in the Qing Dynasty are Huanghuali and rosewood. By the middle and late Qing Dynasty, a large number of natural patterns, smooth, scratch-resistant marble was used as a desktop material, and a variety of trends in the use of materials appeared. Therefore, through analysis, it can be seen that the shape of half table in Qing Dynasty of China has the characteristics of diversity and complexity. Especially the gorgeous decoration, in line with the remarkable characteristics of Qing Dynasty furniture modeling.
