국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가정 청소년에 대한 사회적 지지 중에서도 지역 사회의 지지가 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 지역 사회의 일원으로서 우리가 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지에 대한 고찰을 목적으로 한다. 연구모형은 다문화가정 청소년의 학교적응을 방해하는 정체성 혼란, 가족 갈등, 집단따돌림, 학습 부진의 4개 요인을 위험 요인으로 선정하고, 이들 위험 요인에 대한 매개적 역할로서 지역사회지지를 선택했다. 특히, 지역사회지지는 지역내 문화시설, 정부 및 민간의 청소년 참여 프로그램, 종교 활동과 같은 활동가능한 시설 내의 소속감과 유대감으로 세분화되었다. 연구 결과, 가족 갈등과 학습부진과 같은 다문화가정 청소년의 위험 요인이 증가하면 학교생활적응이 감소하며, 특히 가족 갈등이 학습부진보다 더 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 다문화가정 청소년의 위험 요인이 증가하면 지역사회지지가 감소하며, 지역사회지지가 높을수록 다문화가정 청소년의 학교생활적응이 높아진다. 또한, 다문화가정 청소년의 정체성 혼란, 집단따돌림, 학습부진이 지역사회지지를 매개하여 학교생활적응에 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 지역사회지지가 다문화가정 청소년의 학교생활적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결과를 강조하며, 지역사회지지를 강화하기 위한 다양한 방안들을 제시했다. 이에는 문화 교육프로그램 운영, 다문화 이해 훈련, 다문화 이벤트 및 축제 개최, 상담 및 지원 서비스 제공, 다문화 리더십 프로그램 개발 등이 포함된다. 또한 개인 참여로서 다문화 행사 참여, 언어적 지원, 멘토링, 정서적 지원, 스포츠나 예술 활동에 동반 참여 등의 방법이 있다. 이러한 노력들을 통해 다문화가정 청소년이 사회의 일원으로 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 사회 구성원 모두가 일조하길 바란다.

영문 초록

This study examines the impact of social support, specifically from the local community, on the school adaptation of multicultural family adolescents. The aim is to explore the role individuals can play as members of the local community. The research model identifies identity confusion, family conflict, social exclusion, and academic underachievement as risk factors hindering the school adaptation of multicultural family adolescents, with local community support selected as a mediating factor for these risk factors. Local community support is further categorized into a sense of belonging and camaraderie within facilities such as cultural institutions, government or private youth participation programs, and religious activities. The results indicate that an increase in risk factors such as family conflict and academic underachievement among multicultural family adolescents leads to a decrease in school adaptation, with family conflict having a more significant impact than academic underachievement. Additionally, an increase in risk factors results in decreased local community support, and higher local community support is associated with better school adaptation among multicultural family adolescents. Moreover, the study reveals that identity confusion, social exclusion, and academic underachievement of multicultural family adolescents influence school adaptation through the mediating effect of local community support. The study emphasizes the positive influence of local community support on the school adaptation of multicultural family adolescents and suggests various strategies to strengthen such support. These include implementing cultural education programs, multicultural awareness training, organizing multicultural events and festivals, providing counseling and support services, and developing multicultural leadership programs. Additionally, individual efforts such as participating in multicultural events, providing language support, mentoring, offering emotional support, and engaging in sports or arts activities are highlighted. The hope is that through these collective efforts, all members of society can contribute to the healthy growth of multicultural family adolescents as integral members of the community.
