영문 초록

The tea in the Yeonggwang area is said to be the first written record in the ‘Togong(土貢)’ section of the ≪Sejongsillokjiriji≫. The tea history of Yeonggwang has been around for a long time, but research into the area has been extremely minimal. This paper reviews the history of the Tea Producing Area of Yeonggwang and reviews the ‘Medicinal-Coin Tea(藥錢茶)’ that is being made in the Bulgapsa(佛甲寺). This paper first looks at the tea producing area of ‘Geography Section(地理志)’ compiled during the Joseon Dynasty to look at the historical roots of tea in the Yeonggwang area. Later, we analyze ‘During the Japan Rolling Era of Korea(日帝 强占期)’ and the location of the tea producing area after liberation, and we look at the current status of the tea producing area. We also look at the medical-coin tea, which is currently being made in Bulgapsa. The medical-coin tea is a traditional tea that has not been well-known for years, but it can be called a top-notch tea that has continued the legacy of traditional temple herb tea. Through this process, the medical-coin tea has confirmed both its drinkability and its medicinal purposes. The method of making this tea was also confirmed as different from other coin tea.
