국문 초록

창원국가산업단지는 조성된 지 40년이 흐르는 동안 우리나라 경제성장의 견인차 역할을 하였다. 1997년 외환위기 때는 구조고도화를 통해 우리나라 경제의 버팀목이 되었고, 2008년을 전후로 발생한 세계경제위기를 슬기롭게 대처하는데 큰 기여를 하였다. 이제 창원산단은 거세게 밀어닥치는 지식기반의 물결과 유로존의 재정위기를 통해 새로운 위기를 맞고 있다. 위기극복과 한 단계 더 큰 도약을 위해서는 산업단지 전반의 리모델링이 절실하다. 본 연구는 현황분석을 통한 문제점과 특징을 살펴보고, 산단 내에 입주한 전체기업 중 종업원 6인 이상 기업의 약 33%인 636개를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 실태조사 결과와 문제점을 도출하고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 바탕으로 창원국가산업단지가 새로운 도약을 통해 한국경제의 중심에 설 수 있도록 전반적인 개선책과 리모델링 방향으로 21가지의 전략을 제안하고 있다.

영문 초록

The Changwon Industrial Park has been passed around 40 years since it had built in 1973 as a national-based and machinery-oriented strategic complex. It has great role to enhance the National Economic Growth. Especially, it helped to overcome national economic crisis during the IMF foreign exchange crisis outbreaking in 1997 and world-wide economic crisis spreading in 2008. Moreover, it was possible to cope with the elevation of industrial structure within the complex Now it has been challenged enormously from domestic and overseas factors, including the structural limitations that the Park has confronted. It is so-called knowledge-based society meaning which there is no economic development without technology development. The Changwon Industrial Park doesn't unfortunately have such bases and factors for technological support and development. Also, it currently has serious problem about the overseas export market beginning financial crisis of countries in Euro zone. It has an opportunity to another take-off phase through the firm's development and the Park's remodelling and structural improvement. This study has a goal to draw such strategies for one more take-off throughout the Park. An empirical survey has achieved against 636 out of around 2000 firms in the complex. The study has extracted 21 strategies and alternatives as a result.
