국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 발달지체 및 장애 영아에게 조기개입 서비스를 제공한 경험이 있는 교사 및 조기개입 서비스 전문가 60명을 대상으로 조기개입 서비스 제공에 대한 다양한 인식을 파악하고자 온라인 설문조사와 반구조화된 면담을 진행하는 혼합연구 방법을 적용하였다. 온라인 설문조사는 참여자의 특성, 조기개입 서비스 현황, 서비스 저해 요인에 대한 인식, 서비스 촉진 요인에 대한 인식으로 구분하여 총 30문항으로 구성되었다. 온라인 설문조사 문항 결과를 토대로 인식의 다양성이 반영될 수 있도록 의도적으로 6명의 참여자를 무작위 선별하여 추가적인 반구조화 면담을 진행하였으며, 본 혼합연구에서 도출된 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선 조기개입 서비스 제공 현황 및 조기개입 서비스에 대한 교사와 전문가의 인식은 각각의 참여자와 요인마다 다양한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 조기개입 서비스를 촉진하는 요인에 대한 인식은 참여한 교사와 전문가 사이에 비교적 일치하는 것으로 드러났으나, 저해하는 요인에 대해서는 참여자들 간의 다소 인식의 차이가 있었을 뿐만 아니라 요인마다도 인식의 차이가 있었다. 또한 조기개입 서비스 제공의 활성화를 위해 예비 교사/전문가 양성과 현장 교사/전문가의 재교육 경험의 중요성이 공통적으로 지적되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 국내 조기개입 서비스 제공을 활성화하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하며, 관련된 논의 및 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This mixed methods analysis employed online surveys and semi-structured interviews to explore the perspectives of 60 early intervention service providers in South Korea regarding service delivery. This study aimed to comprehensively understand their perceptions of the barriers and facilitators in early intervention services. The online survey- consisting of 30 items related to participant characteristics, service information, and perspectives on barriers and facilitators- was conducted. Participants were intentionally categorized based on survey data, and six individuals were randomly selected for follow-up interviews to ensure a wide spectrum of perspectives. The results of the mixed-methods study indicated diverse experiences and perspectives among early intervention providers, with responses varying across each item. While there was relative consistency among respondents regarding facilitators, perspectives on barriers differed both among participants and across various variables. The significance of preservice educator preparation programs and in-service educators’ professional development opportunities in enhancing early intervention services was commonly emphasized. The study concludes with recommendations and implications aimed at enhancing the early intervention system in South Korea.
