유아 누리과정을 기반한 공공디자인 교육

국문 초록

실생활에서 접하는 공공디자인은 사회문화의 맥락을 이해하고 경험하는 시각문화미술교육측면으로 교육적 접근할 수 있다. 본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 공공디자인 교육에 대한 방향성을 제시한다. 유아 누리과정에서 공공디자인과 근접한 생활주제 ‘우리동네’의 내용을 분석하여 공공디자인 범주-공공공간, 공공시설물, 공공시각매체에 적용한다. 이를 바탕으로 5주간의 공공디자인 프로젝트수업을 제안하였다. 유아수준의 공공디자인교육은 주변을 탐색하고 감상하며 일상생활에서 디자인을 경험하고 이해할 수 있는 수용적 자세를 갖는 것을 목적으로 한다. 우리가 살고 있는 사회·문화적 맥락을 이해하며 현상에 대한 비판적 사고 및 문제해결 능력을 기를 수 있다. 예술경험영역에서 미술활동에만 제한 할 것이 아니고 언어, 수학, 과학, 놀이 등 영역간의 통합, 융합으로 간학문, 다학문적인 접근이 가능하다.

영문 초록

Public design encountered in real life can be approached educationally in terms of visual culture and art education that understands and experiences the context of social culture. This study presents a direction for public design education for young children. In the infant Nuri process, the contents of the life theme 'Our Neighborhood' close to public design are analyzed and applied to public design categories-public spaces, public facilities, and public visual media. Based on this, a five-week public design project class was proposed. Public design education at the early childhood level aims to have a receptive attitude to explore and appreciate the surroundings, experience and understand design in everyday life. We can understand the social and cultural context in which we live and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills about phenomena. In the field of art experience, it is not limited to art activities, but through integration and convergence between areas such as language, mathematics, science, and play, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches are possible.
