초등학생의 수학 과제 수행 특성에 대한 인지적 요구 수준별 분석

국문 초록

수학 과제는 수학 교과 수업 중 학생의 학습 과정 및 결과에 영향을 미치는 핵심적인 요소이다. 각각의 수학 과제는 해결을 위하여특정한 수준의 인지적 사고를 요구한다. 본 연구는 초등학생을 대상으로 서로 다른 수준의 인지적 수준을 요구하는 과제를 제시하여과제 수행 중 나타나는 특성을 분석하였으며 나름의 방법으로 변형하도록 하였다. 분석 결과, 학생들은 초등학생에게 알맞게 변형된수학 과제의 인지적 요구 수준을 인식하였으며 해결하고 변형하였다. 다만, 인지적 요구 수준을 고려하거나 요구되는 수학적 개념및 역량에 관련된 적극적인 변형보다 과제의 구성 요소를 바꾸는 소극적인 변형이 많이 나타났다. 과제 수행 특성 분석을 통하여초등학생이 생각하는 높은 인지적 수준을 요구하는 과제에 대한 인식과 다양한 유형의 과제를 확인할 수 있었으며 이를 바탕으로교수학적 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

Mathematical tasks are a key factor that affects students' learning process and outcomes in mathematics classes. Each mathematical task requires a specific cognitive demand level to be solved. This study presented mathematical tasks requiring different cognitive demand levels to elementary school students and analyzed the characteristics that emerged during task performance, allowing students to make modifications in their own ways. The analysis showed that the students recognized the cognitive demand levels of mathematical tasks that were appropriately modified for elementary students and solved and modified them. However, the study found that passive modifications, which changed the components of the task, were more common than active modifications. Active modifications would involve adjustments related to the mathematical concepts, competencies required, or the cognitive demand level. The analysis of performance characteristics allowed for the identification of elementary school students' perceptions of high cognitive demand level tasks and various task types. Based on these findings, pedagogical implications were derived.
