국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 틱톡 플랫폼에 나타난 MZ세대들의 대북한 인식을 통해 통일을 지향하는 평화리터리시 구축 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 통일교육은 교육대상자와 시대에 따라 적절하게 변해야 한다. 다양한 디지털 미디어 환경에서 자라난 MZ세대들은 북한을 민족으로 보기보다 다른 국가로 인식하는 경향이 증가하고 있으며 영상 게시물과 댓글의 내용 또한 북한을 제대로 바라보고 인식하지 못하고 있다. 영상 게시물의 경우 북한의 일상생활을 소개하는 것이 많은 반면, 댓글은 전쟁에 대한 막연한 공포와 두려움을 표현하고 있다. MZ세대는 디지털 미디어를 사용하여 세상을 바라보며 사회 문제들을 이해하고 해결하는 데에 익숙하다. 따라서 MZ세대들에게 한반도에서의 평화 구축을 이해시키고 교육하기 위해서는 교육 도구로서 디지털 미디어를 활용해야 할 것이다. 디지털 미디어를 활용한 평화리터러시는 첫째, 객관성이 담보되어야 한다. 둘째, 교육 도구의 변화가 있어야 한다. 셋째, 구체적으로 무엇을 가르칠 것인가에 대한 고민이 필요하다. 이러한 구성요소들을 갖춘 평화리터러시는 한반도를 둘러싼 국제정세를 읽고 이해하며 표현(쓸 줄)할 줄 아는 능력을 구축해 줄 것이다. 디지털 미디어를 활용한 평화리터러시 프로그램은 학교 안 공교육 현장에서뿐만 아니라 학교 밖 청소년과 청년들에게까지 확대될 수 있기에 통일정책과 통일교육을 구축하는 데에 도움이 될 것이라 여겨진다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore ways to build Peace Literacy aimed at unification through the MZ generation's perception of North Korea on the TikTok platform. Unification education must change appropriately depending on the ones being educated and the times. The MZ generation, who grew up in a diverse digital media environment, has an increasing tendency to perceive North Korea as another country rather than as a nation, and the contents of video posts and comments also do not properly view and recognize North Korea. While many video posts introduce daily life in North Korea, comments express vague fears about war. The MZ generation is accustomed to using digital media to understand the world and solve social problems. Therefore, in order to educate the MZ generation about building peace on the Korean Peninsula, digital media should be used as an educational tool. For building Peace Literacy using digital media, first, objectivity must be guaranteed. Second, there must be a change in educational tools. Third, we need to think about what to teach. Peace Literacy with these components will enhance the ability to read, understand, and express(write) the international situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula. It is believed that the Peace Literacy program using digital media will be helpful in establishing unification policy and unification education program because it can be expanded not only to public education in schools but also to adolescents and young adults outside of school.
