창원파티마병원의 성장역사에서 본 기업가정신 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 54년의 역사를 지닌 창원파티마병원이 지역대표 병원으로 성장하는 과정에서 나타난 기업가정신을 고찰하여 지속성장 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 병원의 수명주기를 파악하고 설립이념이 기업가정신의 형성에 어떤 역할을 하는지에 대한 이해를 확장하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 창원파티마병원의 공개된 자료를 질적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 성장역사를 태동기, 성장기, 위기극복기, 도약기, 성숙기 5단계로 구분하고 Dees(2001)가 제시한사회적 기업가정신의 정의를 각 성장단계의 구체적인 사례를 통해 분석하였다. 연구의 결과 창원파티마병원의 지속성장의 핵심 요인은 설립이념을 근간으로 첫째, 사회적 가치를 창출하고 지속하는 사명. 둘째, 새로운 기회를 끊임없이 추구. 셋째, 지속적혁신 활동의 대담성. 넷째, 이해관계자들과의 책임감 4가지 요인의 유기적 상호작용이 병원의 지속적인 성장의 원동력으로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 창원파티마병원의 기업가정신 모델을 제시하고 병원의 수명주기를 파악함으로써 향후 다양한 의료기관의 성장 및 발전에 필요한 전략적 방향을 제시하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대가 된다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the factors of sustainable growth by examining the entrepreneurial spirit that emerged in the process of growing Changwon Fatima Hospital, which has a 54-year history, into a regional representative hospital. Through this, we sought to understand the life cycle of a hospital and expand our understanding of the role that founding philosophy plays in the formation of entrepreneurship. The research method was to analyze the publicly available data of Changwon Fatima Hospital using qualitative research methods. Growth history was divided into five stages: embryonic stage, growth stage, crisis overcoming stage, takeoff stage, and maturity stage, and the definition of social entrepreneurship presented by Dees (2001) was analyzed through specific examples of each growth stage. As a result of the study, the key factors in Changwon Fatima Hospital’s sustainable growth are based on its founding philosophy: first, the mission to create and sustain social value; Second, constantly seek new opportunities. Third, the boldness of continuous innovation activities. Fourth, it was found that the organic interaction of the four factors of responsibility with stakeholders acts as a driving force for the hospital's continued growth. Through this study, it is expected to play an important role in presenting the entrepreneurship model of Changwon Fatima Hospital and understanding the hospital's life cycle, thereby suggesting strategic directions necessary for the growth and development of various medical institutions in the future.
