국문 초록

박상순의 시는 전위라고 평가받으며 전통과 시 자체의 부정으로, 의미를 이탈한 절망의 놀이로 표현되고 해석되었지만 이는 재고할만한 설명들이다. 그의 시는 언어를 다루는 방식의 개성으로 인해 오해받은 면이 크다. 상식적인 설명을 통해 시를 해석하고 나면 박상순의 시는 의외로 이별과 부재의 상황을 그리는 서정시의 오래된 전통과도 접점이 상당하다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 문학사적으로 보자면 이별의 정한을 그린 김소월의 시세계와도, 기다림과 그 대상인 당신을 지속적으로 그려낸 한용운의 시세계와도 이어져 있는 셈이다. 결과적으로 그의 시를 시 자체의 부정이라고 평가하는 말은 상당한 오해를 불러올만한 표현이었다. 박상순은 어휘가 지닌 시각적 형상과 청각적 형상들을 적극적으로 활용하는 시어 선택을 한다. 이 논문에서는 그 선택의 방식을 ‘연상적’이라고 보았다. 연상관계에 놓인 단어들을 활용해 시어에 변형적 상상을 더하는 방식은 확장성을 띄며, 노래를 변형하며 시를 만드는 형식까지 나아간다. 시어의 연상관계를 활용하여 미적 대상을 구현하고, 원본이 있는 노래를 활용하여 새로운 시로 창작하는 박상순의 시적 방법은 ‘변형’을 통해 ‘새로운 정서나 질서를 구축’하는 일이 그의 시의 주요 형식이라는 점을 알려준다. 박상순의 시세계는 바탕에 흐르는 서사가 있다. 그의 시에는 시간과 관련한 다양한 지표들이 반복되며 이와 더불어 지속되는 시간 속에 어떤 대상에게 가닿으려는 움직임의 이야기가 발생한다. 가족 서사로부터 출발한 시의 세계는 부재와 기다림의 세계로 이동하여 끊임없이 변주되고 반복된다. 이 서사의 확인을 통해 우리는 박상순의 시가 어떤 미적 정서와 의미들을 지향하는지를 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Park Sang-soon's poetry has been evaluated as avant-garde and expressed and interpreted as a negation of tradition and poetry itself, and as a play of despair that deviates from meaning, but these are explanations worth reconsidering. His poetry is largely misunderstood due to the unique way he handles language. After interpreting the poem, we can see that his poem has a connection with the old tradition of lyric poetry that depicts situations of separation and absence. In terms of literary history, it is connected to the poetic world of Kim So-wol, who portrayed the sorrow of separation, and to the poetic world of Han Yong-un, who continuously depicted waiting and its object, you. As a result, I think that evaluating his poetry as a negation of poetry itself was an expression that could lead to considerable misunderstanding. Park Sang-soon chooses poetic words that actively utilize the visual and auditory shapes of vocabulary. In this paper he sees the mode of selection as associative. The method of adding transformative imagination to poetic language by using words in an associative relationship is expandable and progresses to the form of a poet transforming a song and creating a poem. Park Sang-soon's poetic method of using the associative relationships of poetic words to embody aesthetic objects and using original songs to create new poems is to 'construct a new emotion or order' through 'transformation', which is the main form of his poetry. It tells you that. Park Sang-soon's poetic world has a narrative that flows through its background. In his poetry, various indicators related to time are repeated, and along with this, a story of movement to reach a certain object occurs in continuous time.
