宋冕秀의 생애와 在中獨立運動

국문 초록

본 연구는 그간 밝혀지지 않은 宋冕秀(1910~1950)의 생애와 중국에서의독립운동을 조망했다. 송면수는 1930년대 중국 上海 中國公學과 廣州 中山大學 에서 유학하고, 중일전쟁 발발 이후 대한민국 임시정부에 합류해 柳州, 重慶, 西安 등을 거점으로 독립운동을 전개한 인물이다. 그는 민족혁명당 華南支部 등 민족주의 좌파계열 진영에 합류한 이력이 있지만, 주로는 한국독립당과 한국광복군에 참여해 문화선전과 政訓 방면에서 활약했다. 송면수는 국내 신문기자경력과 어학 능력, 문예적 역량 등을 토대로 ‘중간 간부’로서 입지를 다졌으며, 광복군 제2지대 정훈부서에서 축적한 군사 경험을 살려 미국 OSS와 대일선전 및 첩보 활동을 지원하는 역할을 계속해 갔다. 무장투쟁과 더불어 송면수는 민족문화를 수호하고 한국 독립운동의 문화적 역량을 대내외에 알리는 일에도 진력했다. 중산대학 용진학회 학예부장을 맡아 한글 잡지를 발행하고 한인 유학생들에게 한글 글쓰기를 장려했으며, 그가 극본을 쓴 연극 공연은 중국 관객들에게 큰 호응을 얻으며 임시정부의 대외적 위상과 문화적 역량을 널리 알리기도 했다. 타국에서 한국 청년들의 문화예술 활동은 민족적 주체로서의 자아를스스로 회복하는 과정이기도 했다. 이처럼 중국에서 전개된 임시정부의 27년간의 고된 여정 속에서도, 민족정신을 계승하고 민족문화를 수호하고자 노력한그 시대 청년들의 모습이 송면수의 삶 속에서 잘 나타나 있다

영문 초록

Song Myeon-su(1910~1950) has lived a remarkable life as an independence activist, but his existence has been known only in fragments in his studies. In this article, we tried to summarize the entire life of Song Myeon-su and find its meaning, focusing on the parts that have not been revealed so far. Song Myeon-su graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou since he defected to Shanghai, China in the 1930s and launched independence movements in Liuzhou and Chongqing after the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War. He is a person who has been active as an ‘intermediate executive’ in the field of political propaganda and cultural propaganda in the Korean Liberation Army, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, and the Provisional Assembly. He has a history of joining the National Revolutionary Party while studying in Guangzhou, but he continued his activities mainly in the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, the Provisional Assembly, and The Korean Independence Army. In short, what can be seen through Song Myeon-su’s life is that he is not negligent in cultural improvement along with the development of armed struggle. Therefore, a space for free intellectual and emotional exchange was provided in the space where ‘young people’ including Song Myeon-su gathered, and where they were located, various bronchial tubes and publications were always accompanied. In addition, young people in the provisional government desperately tried to protect the Hangul type in the evacuation path of the provisional government. This shows how the provisional government’s 27-year evacuation route in China has made efforts to protect national culture and improve culture along with the development of armed struggles.
