국문 초록

이 연구는 분노를 다차원적으로 측정하기 위해 미국에서 개발된 다면적 분노검사(Novaco Anger ScaleProvocation Inventory: NAS-PI)를 국내에 적용할 수 있도록 타당화하고자 하였다. 척도의 타당성을 검증하기 위해, 전국에 거주하는 아동, 청소년, 성인, 노년 1954명을 대상으로 NAS-PI를 실시하였다. 신뢰도 및 확인적 요인 분석 결과, NAS의 44문항 3요인 모델(인지, 각성, 행동)과 PI의 25문항 5요인 모델(무례, 부당, 좌절, 거슬림, 상황적 성마름)의 신뢰도와 적합도는 수용할만한 수준으로 관찰되었다. 뿐만 아니라, NAS에서 인지 척도의 12문항 3요 인(정당화, 반추, 적대적 태도), 각성 척도의 16문항 4요인(강도, 지속성, 신체긴장, 성향적 성마름), 행동 척도의 16문항 4요인(충동적 반응, 언어적 공격, 물리적 충돌, 간접적 표현) 모델의 신뢰도와 적합도 역시 수용가능한 수준이었다 이는 상당히 고무적인 결과로서, 한국판 NAS-PI의 독창성이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 분노를 측정하는표준화 검사인 NAS-PI를 국내에 적용할 수 있도록 타당화했다는 관점에서 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the present study is to test the psychometric properties of the Novaco Anger Scale-Provocation Inventory(NAS-PI). A total of one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four children, adolescents, adults, and older adults completed the NAS and the PI. The 44-item NAS and the 25-item PI display acceptable internal reliability; and good fit to three-factor model (cognition, arousal, behavior) and five-factor model (disrespectful treatment, unfairness, frustration, annoying traits of others, irritations), respectively. Moreover, the 12-item cognition scale, the 16-item arousal scale, and the 16-item behavior scale in the NAS, show good fit to three-factor model (justification, rumination, hostile attitude), four-factor model (intensity, duration, somatic tension, irritability), and four-factor model (impulsive reaction, verbal aggression, physical confrontation, indirect expression), respectively. This scale could be used to measure anger multidimensionally and effectively manage it in Koreans.
