토픽모델링을 활용한 개별 맞춤형 학습에 관한 연구동향

국문 초록

본 연구는 학습자 중심 교육, 개별 학습자의 요구와 학습스타일 등을 고려한 다양한 학습경험을 제공하는 개별 맞춤형 학습에 관한 동향 분석을 수행하고 초중등과 대학 수준 간의 유사점과 차이점을 살펴 보고자 하였다. 제7차 교육과정 개정 시기인 1997~2023년 6월까지 KCI등재지에 출간된 732개의 논문초록은 토픽모델링을 활용하여‘학교 교육과정의 제도’,‘능력, 수준별 수업의 관련 요인’,‘디지털 시스템과 콘텐츠’,‘다양한 집단의 학습자와 교수설계’,‘사회가 요구하는 인재상과 역량’,‘수업개선/통합(학습부진, 장애, 통합학급)지향을 위한 개발/움직임’의 6개의 토픽이 도출되었다. 연구 양에 따라 시기 구분은 3주기로 구분하였고 토픽1의‘학교 교육과정의 제도’와 토픽5인‘사회가 요구하는 인재상과 역량’의 주제로 연구가 증가하였다. 특수교육과 교육학 중심으로 다수의 연구가 수행되었으며 초중등 수준에서는 학습부진과 장애특수교육, 대학교 수준에서는 역량교육 중심의 키워드가 발견되었다. 공통적으로는 디지털 시스템 및 콘텐츠를 활용한 개인 맞춤형 학습 관련 연구가 유사한 분량으로 수행되고 있었다. 본 연구는 학습자 중심의 교육과정이 발효된 교육정책 적용 시점을 반영하여 거시적 측면과 미시적 측면을 비교 분석하였다는데 의의가 있으며 개별 맞춤형 학습 실천에 있어 장애요인 및 이슈, 추가 연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends in personalized & customized learning that considers learner-centered education, individual learner’s needs, learning styles and examines the similarities and differences between primary and secondary education and university level. Using topic modeling, 732 abstracts published in KCI and other journals until June 2023 were analyzed, resulting in six topics: “institutional aspects of school curriculum”, “factors related to ability and level-based instruction”, “digital systems and content”, “learner and instructional design for diverse groups”, “societal demands for desired qualities and competencies”, and “development and initiatives for improving/integrating teaching (learning difficulties, disabilities, inclusive classrooms)”. Depending on the volume of research, the time periods were divided into three cycles with research on topic 1, “institutional aspects of school curriculum”, and topic 5, “competencies required by society”, showing an increasing trend. Special education and educational studies were the main focus of research, with keywords related to learning difficulties and special education in primary and secondary levels, and competency-based education at the university level. Commonly, research related to personalized learning using digital systems and content was conducted in a similar volume. This study compared and analyzed macroscopic and microscopic aspects by reflecting the application of learner-centered curriculum at the time when educational policies were implemented. The study provides suggestions for addressing obstacles, issues, and further research in individualized personalized learning.
